Resource Manager - Project Count Reporting

I am needing to develop a report that will list each of the associate's listed in the "Resource Manager" field at the Project level, but am finding it more difficult than I thought.  When creating a new "Project" report, Resource Managers shows us as an option for columns, but not for Grouping.  Ideally the report would only list associates signed to that field, and their list of projects, no matter the status.  How difficult is it to create?  Thank you for any assistance!

I think the problem here is that if you're in a Project report, please remember that each project is listed once, and once only. This means if you have two resource managers for a specific project, John AND Mary, Workfront can't make the grouping work, because ... well, it can't go into John AND Mary's groupings because it can't be listed twice. I don't really see a solution here, but figured it would be helpful for you to know the cause.

Thank you for the response, Skye.  Would this report work better as a Program level report?  Ideally, what's the best solution for reporting on the Project Stakeholder fields?

I think it depends how you want to visualize the information. Since you mentioned you want to report on the project stakeholder fields, it seems like it can best be done from a project. It's just that since there is not a 1:1 (there can only be one project owner but there can be multiple resource managers), there's not really any way to report on this part of it as a chart. You can see see it as a line item though.

If you truly want to report from a chart perspective, your best bet would be to create a single select field to store that information in, and group by this. e.g. either a single select dropdown if you have the same five resource managers all the time, or an external lookup.
