Timesheet - Add easy way to increase/decrease time by quarter-hour
- Description - It would be great to have a way to quickly increase/decrease time amounts within the timesheet. I've noticed that in the task Summary Sidebar, in the Hours section, you can increase or decrease by 1-hour increments using the cursor up/down keys after clicking into a cell (unrelated issue, but if you scroll before saving, the value disappears). In the Timesheet, the cursor keys just navigate among the cells.
- Why is this feature important to you - More efficient timesheet entry
- How would you like the feature to work - a few ideas:
- For quicker entry, either or both of these options:
- +/- (plus/minus) buttons that appear when you click a cell, so that you can increase/decrease the value with the mouse
- a shortcut key, e.g. SHIFT-UP/SHIFT-DOWN, that allows you to increase/decrease the value with the keyboard, when in a cell.
- To support the above, customizable increment settings, in timesheet profiles or overall preferences, particularly the ability to set the increment to quarter-hour. The increment setting would control how much the increase/decrease shortcuts above add or subtract to the logged time.
- I find that we need more granularity than an hour, but nothing more granular than .25 hrs/15 minute increments. Manual entry could still satisfy anything more granular than those standard increments.
- Tenths or hundredths of an hour don't equate well to actual minutes, since a minute is 1/60 of an hour. If we could switch to minute entry, with a standard 15 minute increment, that would be awesome! But at least .25 hour increments would work great.
- For quicker entry, either or both of these options:
- Current Behavior - No faster way to enter time than manually keying in the value.
