Workfront Proof Name

Can a feature be added to make the name of the proof static? Now when a revised proof is added, and if it is a single document or multiple documents to a combined proof the Workfront Proof this is not the case. If a single document is added as a new version, and the user does not edit the document name, the proof is renamed to match the new document. If new documents are added to a combined proof then the proof asks the user to add a name. Once a proof is started the default should be to pick up the previous name automatically. I think there can still be an option to edit the name but that should be secondary.

I realize that you might have already found this solution, but renaming the files to the desired name just prior to upload seems like it would work?

Thanks for your reply. I'm happy to name the combined proof. What I'm asking for is when the combined proof is revised that the proof name be static with an option to rename. The default should be to always use the name of the proof from the initial proof and to not force users to reenter a new name for combined proofs. And for single proofs keep the proof name and not pick up the name of the file being uploaded as the revision.

In your example, the single file works but Workfront cannot determine a name if multiple files are added?  Is it because when uploading a single file it is rather obvious what the name should be, but when multiple files are part of the deal Workfront is unable to correctly assume what the name should be? - Could this be because the proof is a combination of more than one file?

When Workfront guesses wrong or is otherwise unable to name the file correctly, your users should have the ability to correct the filename to the desired structure.

Hi there! I think this post is better fit for the Ideas section instead of Questions (here) - go ahead and copy/paste this into a new Idea instead if you want to pitch this to the community for votes!
