Adobe Analytics

Hi all, I have noticed in one of our applications that an eVar does not always show up in our hits during one of our events even though that eVar was persisting properly beforehand, however if I break that event down by that eVar in Adobe I do still see the proper data for it. Does the eVar continue to persist if nothing is written in to replace it even if the space for it is blank in the debugger? For reference, this eVar's expiration is set to Visit otherwise. Thanks! 

I'm attempting to create a value for one of our brands to align with the others, but currently that value isn't coded on this site. The image below is a processing rule with a single if else which seems to be all that you are allowed. Is there a way to make a second if else option, so that I can further clarify information about the app or web visits... or would I need to make multiple processing rules in order to create 3+ values in this evar? It seems to be the case, but wanted to make sure before I created a large amount of unnecessary rules. Thanks!  

Hi Community! Situation: we have a few domains we report on. The domains have links sending users between them that requires being tracked. When I go from google to website X, the referrer field is populated. However when I do the same from site Y to site X it does not show up.  My search shows two typical places where the issues might be originating from:  1) Domain names are different and the internal URL filters are not at play2) The links are not being redirected  We are using icids to capture the data but we want to know why referrer is not working as that is a metric we used in the past. 

I am having a data element which records dimension values for a specific event. To get the total count of the values received for that dimension, I have created a calculated metric (Approx distinct count ( dimension_name )). Although, I can see that I am getting 37 Unique values ( Number of rows in the freeform table) for this dimension, the grand total header row for the freeform table shows that there are only 36 values ( 35 excluding NA values).  

We are observing unexpected and malformed values in the App Advertiser ID within the Adobe Analytics data files associated with the mobile apps report suite. This issue appears to have started on September 17, 2025. It is very odd and I am trying to investigate but it is tough. Can someone please guide me what could be the issue? Is it an Adobe outage issue? Please see attached screenshot. 

Hi all,   does anyone know whether ChatGPT and other AI crawlers are currently already included in the IAB bot list?   We're currently having the IAB bot list feature enabled, and are capturing the user agent of incoming traffic, and as far as I can see there are not "openai" user agents captured https://platform.openai.com/docs/bots/   Just wondering since our business stakeholders would be interested in getting the bot crawler traffic through, and the WAF is already opened up to let that kind of traffic through. Is there actually a way to unblock a certain browser in the Bot rules that may be included in the bot list?

Hello everyone, I understand that issue #202509170072 is a global problem, and Adobe has already reverted the deployment and is currently working on the data cleansing process. I have a few related queries and observations—would appreciate any insights or if anyone else is experiencing similar issues: 1. 'Unknown' Values Before 17th September:I am seeing 'Unknown' values for some dimensions even for dates prior to September 17th. For example, when I run a report for September 1st, I still see 'Unknown' values. Is anyone else noticing this? I’m curious how this is affecting older (hit-level) data, especially since the expiry is set to Hit level.Additionally, for some dimensions, I continue to see a few 'Unknown' values even after the rollback on September 18th.2. Understanding the Impact:Is there any way to better understand the overall impact? I realize the issue is somewhat random, but if anyone has found a method to assess the impact, please share. We us

Adobe has stated that since the latest code was rolled back we should prevent further unexpected values. That doesn't seem to be the case.One issue we don't recall seeing prior is that some marketing channel values are returning numerous rows as "Unknown" though once you search for any variation of the characters in "unknown" nothing shows up.  Any other issues you're seeing out there with data we might need to take into account?(And we already working with Adobe support directly, but just wanted to understand what we might want to be aware of until this is fully resolved)

Hello, As you all know, now Google usually generates an AI result for any search, giving you the sources it used on the right. If you click on those, it will take you to your site URL appending something like "#:~:text" to it. I have created a Marketing Channel to allocate traffic coming from sites like Chat GPT and so to "AI traffic", and I want to send these AI generated results to this bucket. The problem is that I don't know how to capture this "#:~:text=" used by Google. Neither window.location.hash nor window.location.href worked :s. Any ideas? I would also appreciate if you shared any other tips regarding the use of AI as a Marketing Channel. Thanks!

Hello, We have set up Adobe Analytics with Activity Map through Adobe Launch and overriding the Activity Map region using the following:I found the above code example from ActivityMap.region | Adobe Analytics and it works as expected for most of the links on our website. However, for some links/buttons, the value of clickedElement appears to be 0 instead of the actual HTML DOM element object. Screenshot: Please help me understand what the reason could be. We're wading into the waters of navigating GDPR and CCPA. We use Marketo forms on our site. My understanding, and this may be wrong, is that if the Marketo Munchkin code is not served then the forms will not submit data. If that is the case how are folks handling this?

In a segment I created there is a section called Attribution Model that allows me to select Repeating (default), Instance, and Non-Repeating Instance.  Please explain what each means and provide a simple example.

Hi all, there's something I've noticed within segments that doesn't correspond with the logic in which containers are supposed to be interpreted within Segments...wondering if anyone has insight... When I create a segment at the "People" level, and within that segment I define events within a specific date range (i.e. People who have had events from x to y date) ...when I use it as a filter over any metric to look at events for those People after the segment date range, it only filters my event results by the date range within the Event container within the People segment, and NOT the date range of the panel. See image attached. From my understanding, creating a People segment with any criteria (event or session) and using it in workspace will only filter events by People who met that criteria, not necessarily the actual event criteria used in the segment. Adobe Analytics seems to be quietly testing a new ‘Generate Slides’ feature, available to a select group of users. This feature allows users to convert Analysis Workspace templates directly into PowerPoint slides, making it easier to share insights and reports with stakeholders.  Instead of manually creating presentations, users can now generate slides that include charts and metrics from their workspace templates—saving time and ensuring consistent formatting. I have tried to grant Adobe Analytics access permissions to two CN colleagues (Ni, Robyn nirubing@amazon.com; Ma, Rocky rockyma@amazon.com ) using admin privileges. I’m trying to create a freeform table that shows GA Medium broken down by GA Campaign. When I apply the GA Campaign dimension as a breakdown to GA Medium, only the first GA Medium row displays campaign results. If I remove the breakdown from the first row, then the next GA Medium row shows campaigns — but still only that one row, not all rows in the table. What I need is for all GA Medium rows in the table to be broken out by GA Campaign at the same time. How can I achieve this?

We want to analyze users who have the latest version of our app and the ones who haven't installed it but because of the range of time, it is possible for the user to be in more than one version of the app because if the user installed the latest version on sunday but we have the data from monday to sunday, this user will be on both scenarios. Is there a way we can filter this dimension only to show us users who upgraded and exclude them from past versions?

I noticed a strange feature update/bug in Adobe Analytics Workspace today. When trying to drill down 2 row items of any dimension within a freeform table (using another dimension), the drilldown doesn’t apply to both at the same time. It only works for one row item, and only after crossing/removing that one does the drilldown appear for the other.Could you please confirm if this is a known bug, a recent update in Workspace behavior?
