Hey guys, I am trying to use this custom video block from aem assets plugin.https://github.com/adobe-rnd/aem-assets-plugin/tree/main/blocks/videoThe preview for these blocks are here: https://main--assets-blocks--hlxsites.aem.live/video-block-demoHowever, when trying to run them on my local EDS project, I am not seeing the same functionality. This is most likely due to the fact that I don't have AEM Assets and Dynamic Media OpenAPI. Now, I need to build custom video heroes, with custom icons and overlay text blocks, with Youtube hosted videos. Currently I am using the standard Video block, but are there any other solutions or blocks I can use without any additional licenses? Thanks

Hi Team,  I am new to AEM, we have installed AEM cloud in our local machine and try to create a project using Mavan, After created that project that its not active in system bundles section. I shows installed status. After see the details of the bundles, its shows "com.day.cq.wcm.api,version=[1.31,2) -- Cannot be resolved".  we try to add below dependency in pom.xml and re-build but still we face same issue: <dependency> <groupId>com.day.cq</groupId> <artifactId>cq-wcm-api</artifactId> <version>1.31.0</version> <scope>provided</scope> </dependency> Pls suggest what was we missing to build the project. Hi, Using AEM as a cloud. Setting cookie in servlet response object.  Cookie is not available in dispatcher. Any Dispatcher level config do i need to do. Thanks.

Hi Everyone,    I have one requirement, whenever user login or lands aem start page in aem 6.5 environment after that aem inbox notification automatically should expand. Hi,We are currently using Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) 6.5 and Akamai cache invalidation via custom CP (Cache Purge) code. However, we are experiencing performance issues where the Akamai cache flush causes high CPU usage and slowness on the AEM Publisher as every request is being directed to the Publisher.Could you please provide guidance on the best approach to resolve this issue? Hello, I have a new server on which we installed AEM Forms JEE 6.5.18.The entire installation is successfully running under the root user, but because of security reasons I need to create a specific 'adobe' user to run AEM as a service.The 'adobe' user is the owner of the entire directory structure where the AEM and jboss files are stored.Running the jboss server by executing standalone.sh from a session where the 'adobe' user is logged in also works without an issue.Running the jboss server as a service with the root user also works without issues. But running the jboss server as a service with the 'adobe' user results in an IOException: java.io.IOException: Unable to write to deploy directory: /Naturally the 'adobe' user does not have root (/) access.  The full error that jboss gives after starting up is: 21:24:43,983 ERROR [org.jboss.as.ejb3.invocation] (ServerService Thread Pool -- 102) WFLYEJB0034: Jakarta Enterprise Beans Invocation failed on compone

I have a requirement to use some images in the Assets to be used in some public domains. I can find only two ways one is the via REST API other is by integrating with adobe webfront selector. Both requires authentication for accessing the assets. There is a share button for the assets but it is loading the assets as a content inside the page. I'm expecting something like I can post a blog or post something where I need to include an image which is from the my assets(a publicly accessible link). Is there any option to generate a link (like https:/{adobe'sdomine}/path/to/asset.jpg ) which can be pasted on browser servers the file without any additional authentication ?I tried with folder listing GET /api/assets/myFolder.json API, but while pasting the content url in browser still asks for adobe id for login

I created an environment hootsuite-media-exchange-partner-program-dev-rde to be unblocked. What worked:No issues logging into (https://author-p63004-e1445875.adobeaemcloud.com) with my Adobe accountAble to create a local token with my account onlyIssues that occurred:Could not create a technical account and got a 403 error (see attached) Another user, had the admin and developer credentials and he got the 403 error for a local token and for creating a technical account.I followed the steps in the documentation to create a technical account, and I keep getting the 403 error despite my account having the correct privileges. As per the documentation, it is required to create a technical account to use the REST APIs programmatically in production to list assets and their contents. Also, this hinders another developer from collaborating with me or another developer.

I'm looking for a security best practices guide or recommendation for AEM that includes how to manage secrets, for example credentials like API tokens, passwords or keys for third party services integrated with AEM. I'm not a security professional, though I'm curious enough to learn more about the area as getting security, less wrong, seems hard.   The AEM Security Checklist could be a good place, though it doesn't cover third party secret management as far as I can tell? Though perhaps it's more like Integrating with Third-Party Services - though again this doesn't seem to cover secrets directly (screenshots in specific guides like Salesforce look like it uses an HTML input type password field, though lack enough depth to see if the password just gets stored in another JCR node somewhere, or are more deeply locked down by AEM - is it even possible to know)? What if I have a third party integration requirement which doesn't have an AEM plugin yet?   For context, the well know

I have two LiveCycle forms that have similar data. I'm trying to populate some of the fields on the targetPDF with the data from the source PDF. Unfortunately, app.openDoc always returns a null or undefined value so I'm unable to reference the opened PDF as an object in order to populate it with data from the source PDF. I know one restriction is due to the document-level script need this.disclosed = true, but I believe this only applies to AcroForms. Is there a way to make app.openDoc return a value? Is there a better way to populate the targetPDF? I also tried adding a delay to see if that resolve the issue by ensuring the document was fully opened before checking its state.

I am using AEM to manage experience fragments that are shared with Target. I make updates to the content of experience fragments regularly and would like to be able to keep a change history in case I need to revert to a previous version. I have not found anything in Adobe's documentation regarding a detailed change log or version control. Does AEM have version control for experience fragments? If not how are others managing logging updates and reverting, if necessary? Thanks,Keith

Hi all, I am building an API which will serve up some HTML for other websites to consume. The general idea is that there will be an experience fragment within AEM, and my API will grab the HTML output of this experience fragment and append that to the API response. Is there a way within Java that I can programmatically calculate the rendered HTML output of an experience fragment? The fragment will be made up of multiple sightly based components. Imagine an API response similar to this: { "cssLink": "mysite.com/path/to/some.css", "jsLink": "mysite.com/path/to/some.js", "html": "<div class='my-fragment'>...</div>" }

I have few AEM Users with different type of permissions like let's say User A is a content author and has access till pages only, while User B is a developer and has access till most of the nodes except few like he/she may not have access to configuration nodes etc.. While User C has access to everything and belongs to Admin group. All these users are in on-prem instance of AEM and I want to migrate to AEM Cloud Instance. How can I achieve this.? Similarly I want to migrate the groups as well...
