Hi all, I watched the post Using Splunk for Log Search & Monitoring on AEM as a Cloud Service at https://blog.arborydigital.com/splunk-setup-aem-cloud-service-aemaacs. What are we exactly monitoring here?I see we are collecting the Application logs. So, we are monitoring aemaacs? How about analytics, target, etc? What about the infra logs?Or Splunk is limited to software application logs only and infrastructure logs are out of scope? I remember we use different products for monitoring the infra to know uptime of servers, alerting admins in case of server failures, etc. Ex: LogicMonitor.Are these products of different class? I highly appreciate all your replies. Thanks,RK.

Hi All, I have a list component on a page where I have authored Parent Page and Child depth 1. Under parent page, I have created 2 pages and authored teaser and image component on these 2 child pages. When I choose link items, show description and show date its coming as expected. But when I choose "Display as teaser" option shown below. I am getting null OR nothing is shown for the list component.   Can anybody please help me to make it work?  My investigation: See the list.html file. The below code:  <li data-sly-test="${list.displayItemAsTeaser && item.teaserResource}"class="cmp-list__item" data-sly-call="${teaserTemplate.teaser @ item = item}"data-cmp-data-layer="${item.data.json}"></li> This is the code for "display as teaser" option. Here list.displayItemAsTeaser is true but item.teaserResource is always null. I tried to print this value but nothing came up. How can I get  item.teaserResource here. Any pointers are appreciat

Hello Community Team,We are using AEM 6.5.20 on-premises version for our implementation and the ask is to leverage communities for managing User Generated Content.Specifically the comments, ratings, reviews, blogs etc. needs to be captured and curated by Admin/Author before it gets published to the world. I got to know from some of the forums that AEM Communities will be End Of Life and Adobe is not recommending or selling the communities license to their customers.In this situation, what would be the best solution for managing the communities in AEM. There are many cloud tools that are available, but the ask is to have on-premise community tool which can be easily integrated with AEM. Any help in this regards would be greatly appreciated.

Hi, I have created a workflow. Added the workflow and workflow path in the filter.xml as<filter root="/apps/settings/workflow/notification/email/content-review" mode="update"/>but every time I deploy the code, the workflow doesn't sync automatically. It has to synced manually. Is there any way to make it sync automatically? should I use different mode? Thank you.

I'm using AEM 6.5.15 and I have updated the Dam Update Asset Workflow.   In the Process Thumbnail step, we have updated Skip Mime Types field available at Thumbnail Tab and in the Web Enabled Image Tab, we have updated the  Skip List field. Please refer the below screenshots for the changes.   The changes are done in both /var workflow model path and in /conf path. Now, after a regular Teamcity build deployment, each time I need to do a manual sync in the workflow page to make the functionality work.   Any way to resolve this problem? I tried adding lastSynced, cq:lastModifiedBy and cq:lastModified which doesn't solve the actual problem. Can someone help with the solution. Hi All,I want to save some credentials(assessKey/SecretId) for some third-party authentication, But not want to save in code or config files as it will be visible to all developers.  I saw one blog  where the credentials get store as java System properties variables in start.bat script file like below and try to assess it in code using BundleContext.getProperty("aws.accessKeyId").I want to know 1. Is it good way to store the credentials.2. I tried the same but not able to retrieve using below code. Demo is my SlingModel class. it returns null onlyFrameworkUtil.getBundle(Demo.class).getBundleContext().getProperty("aws.accessKey");

Hi All  We are using Akamai CDN, and my content is served from the dispatcher cache. However, I’ve configured the headers at the dispatcher level to set Cache-Control to no-cache and no-store. How is it that the dispatcher is still serving cached content instead of Akamai?   Thanks KNan    

There is an issue in AEM DAM where multiple assets are sharing the same dam:sha1 value, despite being distinct files. These assets were uploaded via a different server, and when downloaded, they have a file size of 0 KB and most of them has status: Error [Upload failed]. AEM version: 6.5 What could be the cause of these assets having the same dam:sha1 value, and how can this issue be resolved?Thanks.

Hi all, I'm opening this thread because I'm searching for a simple solution that will allow to set a minimum password length on AEM 6.5 On Prem for Author user without doing any kind of custom logic.For example, the request is to have a minimum of 14 characters (no worries about what kind of characters are alloweed, it's just about length) instead of the default value. Is there any way to achieve this result?If no, do you have any suggested solution to made it in a custom way? I've found many thread on the community but no one answer directly to this simple question. Thanks in advance for you help! Regards,Simone

I have a bundle which was deployed successfully, but when I checked the bundle console, the status was still in the ‘installed’ state. Upon verification, I found that the bundle has a dependency error stating: ‘javaslang, version=[2.0,3) – Cannot be resolved.’ please help me out here. 

We need to access a data attribute (or a hidden element with some value) from component's HTL inside a clientlibs which loads only when dialog opens. We need to perform some check based on a configuration which is available in HTL and we are able to provide it via data attribute or a separate hidden element. Since we cannot access any page elements from dialog clientlibs, we are unable to access this value as well. Is there a way we can access this value from HTL or another way to pass it to clientlib on dialog open. We have tried window.parent.document etc but this doesn't give component's HTL. thanks.

How do I automate repository sync between customer managed git repo (we are using git hub) and AEM Cloud manager repo.

Is it possible to have folders show a numeric value/count on how many assets are within that folder? For example, we have a lot of folders that are currently empty however it isn't possible for a user to know that unless they click into the folder. We may just delete these folders for now if we can't show a numeric value/count on the folder level. 

Hi People, Good Day!I have been facing a issue with Preview as well as compare version option with page versioning in AEM 6.517  as well as 6.5.21.I have checked in the CRx the node exists under the /tmp/versionhistory/ folder but no preview is getting generated.   Any possible solution for this problem. Thank You.

I  have startDate as date field and year as tag Field. I have to fill year tagfield based on year of startDate and subsidary they are in. Here you can see i am in cytech subsidary and startdate has 2012 . tag here is appled cytech:year/2012. Now i want to do for all subsidaries when i chage  or add date, the year tag should be automatically updated based on year in startDate and subsidary it is in. i have done using path based servlet by  sending request and dynamically loaded using javascript. i want another approaches as many as possible. i am new to AEM and CMS. remember i am not using HTL as they are in page properties. feel free to ask for further information.

Here is the use case. 1. Our current site runs on AEM on-prem 6.4. This is a headless commerce site with Shopify on the backend running e-comm. features like Shopping Cart, Checkout and Order Management. 2. The current data-layer in AEM is not robust enough to capture all the events and on top of that one of our overseas team is coming up with a completely new website with new design which I have not seen yet. 3. I am trying to come up with a template with page by page list of DOM variables (We use Tealium as a tag management solution) that we want in the data-layer.  Is there a standard template that exists or do I have to create one from scratch?   

I have created live copy of a site as I wanted to reuse maximum content from main site.But I want to use different Header experience fragment for the live copy site.Can i get help in creating different experience fragment for different live copy sites?
