Demystifying Oak Search Part 4: Included / Query Paths by Daniel Klco Abstract One of the common mistakes I've seen in customizing Oak Lucene Indexes is with the included/query paths feature. To understand why this is a common area for mistakes and what impact this has, you have to understand what the includedPaths and queryPaths configurations do. When executing an Oak query, you can supply constraints in the form of node types, property values or paths. As discussed previously, to write a fast query, you must narrowly constrain the set of nodes your your query may apply to. Therefore, it’s best to always use a path constraint so only a portion of the JCR needs to be included. This is especially important of you need to run a query against a generic node type such as nt:base or nt:hierarchyNode as constraining to a specific path can eliminate thousands of nodes that would otherwise need to be evaluated. Our AEM instance talks to a lot of other systems in terms of export & import of data/assets. Often these export/import is done in Bulk, thus there is enough room for mistakes/exceptions.   Requesting for suggestions what options your might have explored to ease: Effort from business to validate data Effort from AEM tech team to troubleshoot from logs   If we drop emails for each exception, slowly people may start treating it like SPAM and ignore it. AEM Inbox isn't very user-friendly either.   So, looking for other options

Hi,We have a requirement to select default folder field from the dropdown after selecting a particular path in AEMAACS.let's say we select the path as "/content/dam/exampleA" for this path in dropdown folder field needs to be selected as default.Is there any way that can be done using the OOTB functionality?please help us trying to solve above requirement.Thanks

Hi,Currently have a model class with @Model(adaptables = Resource.class). Hi, I have a requirement where I have to use the content fragment on one of the pages of the edge delivery services project, and I want the content fragment to be editable as well from a universal editor, how can this be achieved?The fields present in the content fragment should be editable via a universal editor and whatever fields are authored should be saved as well on content fragmentplease help me resolve this Thank you

Hi, Does anyone know if we can download or view the form submitted data? I remember seeing it somewhere in CRX but I can't recall where it was also "Download Document of Record" will this .xdp file have all the data users submitted? I can't open this file in local to check if it includes user submitted data. Currently in our forms we are using "Send Email" option on submission. We don't have any external database connected to save data.  

Hi TeamCurrently we have more tabular content for our forms (we are planning to use Adaptive Form Table Component), Is it possible to apply the theme only for Adaptive From Table Component only to have Rich User Experience For Table Content  . Current Theme having issues with Look And Feel (LAF) to rendering table component , We would like handle table content without impact overal Form LAF. Please let me know if any alternative (preferable rich user experience and LAF) to handle tabular content in our OSGI Adaptive Forms. Here is sample table content planning to Use Table Component or other options if any. RegardsVara

I have attached/uploaded the required receipts and submitted the form; however, I get an email error to attach receipts, which I did. How do get this issue resolved? 

AEM 6.5.19 with AEM Forms installed.Does script validation run for the File Attachment core component or is it just broken in AEM Forms?  The mandatory validation works when I check Required.  However, when I create a simple Validate rule in the code editor (see attached screenshot) that includes...console.log('File attachment validate running'); false;...and then submit the form, I never see the specified string in the javascript console.  The red validation error doesn't show up on the field either.Script validation runs on text fields just fine.  I have the same Validate rule configured on a text field and I see the message in the console when I submit the form as well as the red validation error.

Hi Team Currently we are facing the challenges to send filed value along format (fieldname. Value). Please help any way to get the filed value along with format Ex: Filed name is : Tax Identification Number (either SSN/EIN)  what we did we have having two fields 1) SSN (format as 999-99-9999) 2) EIN (format as 99-9999999) & having Hilden variable copying the value but formatting is not copies which very important to identify the whether sending SSN or EIN .Please help here to get the value include formatted (in below case get the value as :111-11-1111) 

I am creating an integration between the AEM system and our PIM system.  What I want to accomplish is I want to be able to "monitor" a particular folder structure and if an asset is moved to this folder or any subfolders I want to download it and upload it into our PIM system.  I need basically two capabilities:1. A way to do a quick query to say are there any assets (other than folders) in a given folder2. Download any of those assets I have been through the documentation and it seems the HTTP Asset API seems like the most logical choice but I don't see an easy way to achieve #1 without manually iterating the folder structure I want to monitor and do a list contents call checking for assets.  This does not seem like a good choice.  Is there an easier way to do such a query?  Is the Http Assets API not the way to do it? I should add that this is AEM 6.5 on premise not the cloud service. Thanks.

All assets in the  content fragment folders in the DAM show the 'Modified'  user as 'External User' instead of an actual AEM user.  We have three different content fragments like videos, shows and live , but only for the videos modified filed shows as external user . I tried debugging not able to find the file where it was fetching from and real root cause for it. Attached the screenshot. We are on AEM 6.5 with service pack 16.  . AEM 6.5 SP 17 / AEM Guides 4.3.1.5 / RHEL8 / Java 11AEM author extreme slowness after publish/asset move operation. In AEM 6.5 publisher instance, stdout.log file has millions on entries "RHINO Usage" as below. In general it means any value that are coming from Java object is directly use in JavaScript. But, here my question is, how to identify the code in our repository that is causing this issue? there is no hint or linenumber, class name, function name from where this is getting fired.  Any suggestion or input will be highly appreciated. Hello community , I am trying to obtain shortened path in my sling model using resource resolver mapping . I also have etc/map in place that shortens it to domain specific urlsEg: path="/content/mywebsite/wknd"I injected resource resolver and when i try resourceResolver.map(path) i get result as http://localhost:4502/wkndHowever i just want the shortened path without domain, i.e, /wknd , is there a way to achieve this without string manipulation ?

We have 6.5 SP18.We have this structur on Author which is activatedFolder   - Page 1   - Page 2 I deaktivate the folder on author instance:I have three events on publisherdelete Page 1delete Page 2delete Folder I delete the folder on author instance:I have one event on publisherdelete Folder My question: How can I get the three events on publisher when deleting a folder because I need them to update our external search index.My idea: change the delete on author to deaktivate and delete but I do not know how.I allready tried: To intercept the delete event on publisher does not help because the folder and the Pages are allready deleted so I could not get information about the Pages that was under the folder. Hello together! Our setup is that we have Content Fragments from Model A that have a content reference to one Content Fragment of Model B. We want to create a GraphQl Query that returns a list of all Content Fragments from Model A that references a Content Fragment from Model B by specific path. Using SQL this works perfectly as we can just query after the jcr property in which the reference is saved as a string. In GraphQl the refernced field is already resolved as Content Fragment Model, which means it searches for all Content Fragments of Model A and only filters afterwards. As we have a lot of data the query always runs into a timeout. Hi all.We are using AEMaaCS, and are currently looking at forms.I cannot find the "code editor" anywhere for the forms rules. This is the editor where you can type actual JavaScript. As a summary, I have: Downloaded a local copy of the AEM SDK v2022 onwards Installed the forms package .far file Added a forms content package to have forms templates installed Added the admin user to "forms-power-users" Create a form with some form fields / components On adding rules, there is only the visual rules editor. There used to be (in previous AEM versions) the dropdown on the top right to switch between visual rule editor and code editor. There is no drop down or indication of how to get access to the code editor. So, is the code editor still there for forms? I could not find any documentation to state that the code editor has been deprecated for AEMaaCS??
