The team I'm on is running into a strange issue when editing content fragments in Java. A common pattern we use based on years of working with AEM is to adapt a resource as a ModifiableValueMap in Java code and then edit one of the values of that ModifiableValueMap, commit the resourceResolver, thus saving the change. When we perform this action against content fragments the saved property has always been searchable in GraphQL, so we assumed this pattern was fine.Recently we encountered a bug when performing content fragments in an implementation of the replication PreProcessor. Basically as a content fragment was published we used the PreProcessor hook to add a new field and then continue with publishing the fragment. The problem is that if we use the same ModifiableValueMap to perform the update, this new value isn't indexed. I understand that we should be using the Content Fragment API. Hi,I have an use case for a retail ecommerce B2C domain client, where we have huge inventory of products with variations. Product have their dynamic data like price and stock availability and other dynamic data. I don't want to use CIF instead inclination is towards API based services exposed by API Gateway and other PIM services. Site is multi locale with high traffic from customers. Question:1. What is Adobe's recommendation for this use case from best practice point of view?2. 3 questions please 1. I find that the code repo can get old when people update component policies frequently. So I'm thinking of putting the changes into the code repo. thoughts on this? 2. I tried adding an additional style in the component policy in my code repo but the changes I made did NOT show up in CRX/DE. Is it better to do it first using touch UI and then import to code repo? 3. If I add a new style config in component+policy in template editor, where is it saved? I looked at the node for the policy in CRX/DE and I cannot find the find the new style there.       thanks!PS. the original dev set the policy in filter.xml to "merge" so any code deployment does not overwrite anything already there. EDIT: I added these in my /conf/mysite/settings/wcm/policies and it did not show up in CRX/DE because of the filter "merge" policy. We are customizing aem core carousel component, we have created a proxy component from where we doing resource supertype to core carousel v1 component. We want to override the markup of this component. But the issue is, when we override the markup, the “panel” selection option is not visible in the authoring dialog. I mean the panel icon after the first icon in the authoring dialog. Look at the screenshot. It looks like markup is tightly coupled with when panel selection visibility. Is there any way that we can override html and retain the panel selection option? What would be the bare minimum we need from the core carousel component to achieve this. Hello Community Team,My current application is running on AEM 6.5 managed by Adobe (Adobe Managed Services). We are plannint to migrate the current application to AEM as a cloud service. As part of this exercise, we ran the BPA tool against the current application and encountered around 400 Critical bugs and 14000 Major bugs. There are 400 custom components, 60 static templates and 30 editable templates. Customer is looking to migrate as-is from AMS to AEMaaCS with minimal code changes in 3-4 months of duration.Can you please suggest me the following:1. Without fixing all the major and critical bugs reported by the BPA tool, is it recommended to migrate to AEMaaCS. If we still migrate, what could be the possible issues that may occur.2. Will static templates work as-is in the AEMaaCS platform or we need to refactor them.3. What could be the performance and security related issues that might occur with as-is migration4. Any other issues that we may encounter if we go with as-is migratio

Looking for solution:style picker is not working in service pack 6.5.21.the data source is not loading and style picker not displaying styles.it is working fine in service 6.5.17

We are using DAM as a centralized repository and we want to track the usage of assets consumed from AEM. OOTB we have asset insights but that is not working when it comes to usage , it only increase the count if we create a collection within AEM but for external sources we have no track. Did anyone implemented such use case where we need to track the asset usage from aem for external systems.   Version : AEMAACS

[Update]: Is it possible to have the values under /apps/...../text/..../rteplugins/styles/styles to come dynamically instead of static values?We have a requirement to have RTE styles plugin with dynamic drop-down values. We have the list of values but somehow unable to bind those values in styles plugin. RTE continues to work fine with predefined values under 'styles' node.Is there a way to do this without making any complex changes in ootb code? We need to do something similar to what we can already do with Style System but in RTE plugin (project ask). @aanchal-sikka , @arunpatidar , @raja_reddy thanks.

We upgraded to AEM Guides v4.4 on Monday. The Keyrefs in the topics (that go to keys in the map) are no longer rendering in any output. Not in the generic-out-of-the-box Basic (Native PDF Publishing) output, and not in any of our custom Native PDF Publishing PDFs templates/presets. (The keyref links do render properly in the AEM Sites output.)I've tried setting the scope and processing-role and nothing is working.Does anyone have any ideas about how to get our cross-ref links via keyrefs to work again? I am trying to add Custom Lucene index for search is search-custom-1 and this is not getting picked up when i tried to hit the query in query performance, its working in QA env and not in Dev and local, there could be a chance of not getting picked up in stage and prod , please let me know how to make my custom search index picked up when indexing happening.

Hi, We are using AEMaaCS, we are observing the intermittent issues for clientlibrary on dispatchers.If I am trying to open a page using dispatcher URL some times everything works fine but after sometime if we use the same dispatcher url clientlibs are not loading, there is no recent code deployment too. We are suspecting the issue is with one particular dispatcher where the clientlibs are not there or resolving, so how can we troubleshoot it further. This is happening on both DEV and STAGE environments.

Since time fields do not seem to work correctly in XDP to HTML forms, I changed the time fields to text fields and then calculate the military time value from that in a separate field and trying to pass it to a webservice. I see the calculated fields filled in in my form, but the value is not being passed to my webservice. All that's being passed is nulls. Any ideas?

Hi Team, We are working on AEM remote spa project where AEM is used only to send Content to external React app.Now we need to create a tool/page/dashboard in AEM scope which will be showing list of pages/components and some other information. But Problem in SPA framework is AEM does not allow to write rendering script (HTML/JSP), even though if we write it and try to use on page, there is no way to do so. Is there any way we can still create a page in same site tree by passing SPA framework ? OR We should try to create page/tool under etc folder? if yes, is there any recommended approach?     

Hello everyone, I have a page in AEM under path /content/xyz/home.html. I have a language selector in this (custom implementation). On choosing any language, I have a requirement to translate the home.html page. I do not have language masters and language copies to take the MSM feature route in AEM. I have tried updating the html document lang property but it does not work. I cannot change the jcr:language in the jcr:content of the page as there will be concurrent users changing the language. What should be the right way to implement it ? Any suggestions ?
