Adobe Experience Manager

Good day,  I have a drop down list in my form.  Some selections, within the list, requires the user to choose an additional choice. That additional choice would then be entered in a text block within the form but I cannot figure out how to do this.  I would like this to happen:1. User chooses from the drop box. Depending on the choice, another drop box or list (pop-up) appears.  Somewhere to the side of the form.2. User chooses from that list and then it's entered in a text block within the form.  The second drop box list/list would then need to disappear when the choice is made/entered within the form.Can someone provide information, please?  I think I would need to create an additional drop down list or list, right?  If so, where would it be placed? Will it be a sub drop down list of the first selection? Thank you for your help.

I have a requirement to embed Instagram images/videos to our website. I was using embed component for that, it should be working by default for youtube, facebook, instagram etc. It is working fire with youtube/facebook and recognising the url but while adding any instagram url it not recognising at all(throwing error msg- this embed url is not supported).   I did some investigation and found it works via oEmbed API and all endpoints/schemas/API url can be checked from here https://oembed.com/providers.json here it is given as  https://graph.facebook.com/v10.0/instagram_oembed while in our confMgr it is diff. I tried replacing it with this url, Insta url is then recognised but still image is not appearing on page. Any suggestions? 

Hi, Prior to creating the custom preset, I need the ditamap to be flattened(All files in one single folder without any subdirectories). Can this requirement be met in any way? I need to use CUSTOM output preset option not AEM sites       

I have a custom container that implements the LayoutContainer in my sling model, and extends the Container on my frontend in my React class. Everything is working, however, when the page initially loads in the SPA editor, the child components don't show.  Although they do show after I open the dialog of my container, and confirm changes.  It appears as though the GET request to the components model does not happen upon the initial load of the editor page, but does happen after I confirm changes from the dialog, thus the children show and are editable after that:

I'd like to use a custom asset (based on cq:Page as jcr:primaryType).I have managed to extend the create button to create my custom asset in a folder in the DAM.In classic UI (/damadmin#) is see my custom asset in the list and can manage/edit it.However, I don't see my custom asset not in touch UI (/assets.html).How can I register my custom asset for that it can be picked up as datasource for the collection displayed on /assets.html? Many thanks in advance,Benno 

Hi AEM Community, I am generating User Groups and their permissions via AC Tool following the below documentation -https://github.com/Netcentric/accesscontroltool/blob/develop/docs/Configuration.md After I deploy an updated YAML file to my AEM server, I can see that the ACLs are successfully changed. However when I "download dump" and compare the local version of the YAML file to the one that I just deployed to the AEM server, I see many different permissions for groups. Shouldn't the two YAML files be identical? (except for out of the box AEM groups) Thanks.

Hi all, I'm using an AEM Assets sandbox. I created a content fragment and added it to a WKND site page. The page and the content fragment are both published. I'm looking for a list of site references associated with the content fragment, but my sidebar says there aren't any site references. I'm wondering if this is an issue with the sandbox and that the site references would show up in a regular instance. If not, where would I look to find a list of all pages that a specific content fragment is placed? Thank you!

We have a number of content fragment models that reference other content fragments and which we return using API calls. One of our cloud environments started failing to return results for a referenced model. This is an example of what that looks like. I've simplified and made this more generic than it is in reality. If I have two templates A and B whenever I create a page under template A but it should always use template B how should I achieve that?

I have seen documentation that only explains allowedChildren, allowedParents, allowedPaths as properties can be set on STATIC templates. How about editable templates. Where can I add these properties? Can it be done in Touch UI?

Hi,   We are planning to migrate a part of the whole site into AEM and assess the abilities to use Adobe's Search. Below are the questions I'm looking to get answered:   Does Adobe Search have the capability to use Metadata and Predictive search capabilities? Since the whole site won't be in AEM, Can it do a site-wide search outside of AEM too? We have developed a custom metadata schema in AEM Assets. I would like to share the AEM Assets schema with Adobe Photoshop or Adobe Bridge so that I can populate the defined schema in the asset properties and have those properties get auto updated when the asset is loaded to AEM Assets. We have some automated processes used to load assets into folders that are not manually maintained by any users. Getting the metadata created and loaded to an asset from the outset would support data standardizations. Some additional insight into this inquiry and potential product request.We have custom metadata schema fields created including "Product type" and "Customer type" fields. These are the custom fields that we would like to include on the native asset so that they are included in the full asset lifecycle.
