Hi,I am created some fields in AEM as textfield with required Boolean = true . Hi All,We are upgrading the AEM Server from 6.1 to 6.3 version, completed all the Upgrade activities like maintenance , pre-upgrade , tar compaction & oak migration except the replacing the AEM 6.3 jar and bringing up instance is not successful. I am at present writing some tests for Azure Experience Manager ,in which i need to upload huge data like jpg , Tiff ,Zip .. etc files.So To add that I am using Api POST call using my C# Test Project in visual Studio  .I am using Http Client with HttpContent as MultipartFormDataContent , so it adds the Asset inside my Custom Folder in CRXDE Litethe Url is Like this "http://localhost:4502/crx/de/index.jsp#/content/dam/AemTest ".But the Structure it shows is, it add a FileContent e.g abc.jpg and child Node it adds jcr:content where some metadata appears . Hi We have recently migrated our system from AEM 6.1 to 6.3 and removed all admin level privileges. As previous, we have created OSGI services for few OSGI config nodes which can be set in config nodes, the same will be reflected in service properties (visible in Felix console. We use to update the OSGI config nodes property values in CRXDE Lite.For some reason, I am unable to read my OSGI property values from the OSGI service properties. At very first time when I install the bundle (jar), I could see service is getting activated and the OSGI values are getting set. After few hours (depending on the environment), the custom service is getting the log as "UNREGISTERING", after this log, I am unable to read the property value.Attached screenshot shows the log from error.log and Felix console where the custom service is getting binded to Default state- launchpad:resources/install/0/org.apache.sling.scripting.core-2.0.44.jar. In AEM 6.3, is there any way to restrict the author to a single allowed component ?or if i create a policy , is there any way to lock the policy so that author doesn't go about and add further allowed components ??

Hi,I am using extraClientLibs property to load a js on dialog open. My concern is that the js gets loaded on a page refresh and subsequent  opening a dialog. The js is unable to load if a page refresh is not performed and the dialog is opened. For example, I have a js mycomponent.js placed under a clientlib "image.ms". This clientlib value is populated on the cq:dialog in the extraClientLibrary property.The expectation is that the mycomponent.js should be loaded every time I open the  Touch UI dialog widget. This is not happening. However, after page refresh I am able  to load the js on opening the dialog.Is this expected behavior ?Regards,Sagar

Folks,I'm starting now in AEM.Are there any HTML / CSS / JS rules that should be followed for development?Any practice that should be avoided?I ask this because I have observed that in the workflow the static HTML is developed for the product and when it is passed to implement in AEM we have some problems running in static but not working in AEM.For example: use measures like height: 100vh in css, break in edit mode of AEM.Are there any rules in this regard to improve the flow of development?

How can we create Vanity URLs based on a query parameter to a page?We have a URL: http://www.myhost.com/my-page?name=<firstname>.<lastname>.We want to pretty it up to look like this: http://www.myhost.com/my-page/<firstname>.<lastname>.eg.http://www.myhost.com/my-page?name=john.smithshould show as http://www.myhost.com/my-page/john.smithAm I correct in saying this is not as simple as creating a rewrite rule on apache? Possibly an AEM servlet? A servlet that uses a request filter to fetch the query parameter and form the dynamic URL and 301 redirect to new URL. I was also trying to do these with Resource resolver mappings (etc/map). Could it be done just with Resource resolver mappings (/etc/maps)?

I want to create a URL like this.www.myhost.com/my-page/john.smithmy-page is an AEM page while john.smith is a parameter to the page. It's really likewww.myhost.com/my-page?name=john.smithbut the first URL that looks nicer. Is this something AEM can do (like config changes) or perhaps this is an Apache rewrite rules? Hello,We have done Asset metadata customization in our application. My resolver is created through ResourceResolverFactory:resolver = getResolverFactory().getServiceResourceResolver(serviceParams); I already have a finally block in my method which closes the resolver.My question is regarding the session I'm using:Session session = resolver.adaptTo(Session.class); Do I need to logout this session or not?

I have a client who's interested in the AEM Asset Insights feature - Asset Insights I see there are some configuration steps that involve code on a website, and that makes sense to me. However, the link above indicate there is tracking of asset usage in emails as well. What are the mechanics of configuring that? Is it available with Adobe Campaign Classic, or just Standard?Thanks

Let us say, my project structure in AEM server is as follows-/apps/myproject/components/compA/apps/myproject/components/compBAnd my project structure in SVN is as follows -/apps/myproject/components/compA/apps/myproject/components/compB/apps/myproject/components/compCNow, I want that compC should not be installed while installing package, hence I've added filter in pom.xml -<filter> <mode>update</mode> <root>/apps/myproject</root> <excludes> <exclude>/apps/myproject/components/compC(/.*)?</exclude> </excludes> </filter> But it does not work, after package installation compC also gets installed. Please let me know if what is missing here.

Hi,I have a 5 page PDF form. I need to save this 5 page form as 5 seperate PDFs. Each PDF will be of one page from the original form. So i need to split the 5 page original PDF into 5 seperate single page PDF. I need to do this as part of my workflow. Please help.
