Hi all, My organization is considering implementing Asset Share Commons. We want to implement a feature like the Cascading Metadata feature in AEM, where there is dependency between metadata fields and/or their values. I know this isn't an OOTB feature and we're planning on implementing some customization to do this. Has anyone done this? If so, is it preferred to create dependencies between metadata fields, or field values? Thank you,Morgan

Hello,I'm on AEM 6.5.12. I need to add alt text to images to improve web accessibility. When I open Image properties in the DAM, I see metadata fields such as "title" and "description", but there's no field for "alt text". 2 questions:1) If I add a title and description in the image metadata, does that function as alt text? 2) The image component has a field for alt text. Is this the only place to enter alt text? The would mean if I use the same image on multiple pages, I have to enter alt text several times. Thank you.Cindy 

Hi All,We need to migrate AEM assets between two instances . We are planning to use vlt rcp tool.The source instance is using Auzre Data Store and target is using different Azure Data store. Can we use vlt rcp in this case or do we need to take different approach. Any suggestions? 

There is a requirement where I have a service (lets say GetBundleInfoservice) in Bundle A. Now I need to access this service in Bundle B. What should be my approach. I have a servlet which returns a Json using that Service. However, I should atleast be able to call the service from Bundle A to Bundle B? Any suggestions?

Hi,I'm looking for a way for our librarians to export metadata of assets based on search results. For example, I searched with "jet" and I got 1000 assets as a result that spans across multiple folders. I think there is no OOB way to get this. I'm looking for a way to report on downloads by internal DAM users, NOT downloads by web users hitting our published sites.Under an Asset's Timeline you can see each user's downloads with the date/time (screenshot below). There may be 0 or, potentially, hundreds of downloads listed here.Is there a jcr reference for exporting/reporting this data?Is there a way to configure a transaction log of all downloads?Here's AEM 6.5 documentation about Activity Stream log location, etc.

We are using DAM as a centralized repository and we want to track the usage of assets consumed from AEM. OOTB we have asset insights but that is not working when it comes to usage , it only increase the count if we create a collection within AEM but for external sources we have no track. I need to connect AEM Assets with Salesforce Marketing Cloud. Does Assets Essentials has HTTP API endpoint? Or I need to AEM Assets? 

My client has reported 2 issues as1. They deleted those variants of CF a long time ago ( about 10 variants in CF)The process was deleted successfully and did not have any errors showing. But when they reappeared 2. Hi, I am facing strange issue in my non-prod environment after installing SP 6.5.20. The filters in Asset Finder in page edit does not show any images. I uploaded few asset in particular folder in DAM. I could not see these images in Asset finder while editing page. There are some images visible in Asset Finder from other folder but new images are not. Environment AEM 6.5.20 I tried to reproduce same in my local environment but it is not reproducible in local with same setup. I had tried reindexing as well. I tried to add Asset Finder logger and Query Builder logger but no details in logs. I noticed URI /bin/wcm/contentfinder/asset/view.html is called for getting assets. Could anyone tell what query is formed to get all assets in Asset finder? ThanksAbhijit

Hello,  I would like to know if I need to have a Cloud Services subscription in order to be able to test AEM Asset Selectors (https://experienceleague.adobe.com/en/docs/experience-manager-cloud-service/content/assets/manage/asset-selector)in local environment.  I'm asking for this because our clients have already the AEM Cloud Services subscription but we wanted to test the solution, if possible without having the subscription, so they can use it with their Adobe IDs. I think the outcome would be that we would have access to an imsClientId in order to be able to test the solution and ship it so our clients can use it with their credentials. Thank you in advance.

As my company wants to up it's game with AEM Assets for it's print media production workflows, I kinda tripped over a wire that i did not expect there.You see, the regular workflow was that an Editor downloaded the necessary files, updated the content, sent it to a print shop, then after release day, the file was uploaded as a new version on the old file.And I was like, "Hey wait a moment... isn't there a better way to do that?Why don't we use the AEM here? Creating a live copy of the cataloge, moving the master in that editors private folder, let him check out and edit the master, then when finished (which can be months ahead of the release date) rollout the master file as the new version of the live copy?"I mean the editor would be able to use the check-in/check-out function to update the master - and the most current version would be available for ever other editor as well, just in case. Hello, Expert. I'm assisting the customer in migrating 130g digital asset files from AEM 6.4 on-premise to Dynamic Media Cloud. According to [1], I should be able to use Bulk workflow - Synthetic Workflow Runner on the DAM Asset Update workflow, but we discovered that it took a few seconds to complete, there was no scene7 metadata update on the asset, and no files were migrated to the DM cloud. Can anyone help me figure out how to use Synthetic Workflow Runner to reprocess a digital asset for dynamic media?
