Adobe Experience Manager Assets

Need to check the way how the assets essential metadata form and metadata schema along with search form can be deployed from one environment to another environment? Is there a way via package manager or through code base ?

I have a TIF file which contains a single layer and single clipping path named "Path 1". I'm trying to use the command reference "clipPathE" to modify my download in order to download the asset in the "TIFF with Alpha" format so that everything that falls outside the area defined by clipPathE is transparent.  The image modifier I entered was formatted like this:clipPathE= Path%201 An asset is downloading but it doesn't contain the transparency that I'm expecting. Is there anything I should be doing differently?

Hello Team,We want to use content fragment + graphql feature to expose headless content. We could achieve individual components model and graphql endpoint to specific content fragment via persisted/http post api. from FE, this could be a problem making a API call for each component from performance point of view. So we want to combine the different content fragment and expose via single api.Please let us know how we can do this ? Hero Card -> we have individua endpoint for this componentTeaser -> we have individua endpoint for this component But we want to expose for page data combined json data of Hero card and teaser in single endpoint.

When we create a controlled vocabulary using tags is there a way to lock that down in custom tag fields for the people doing the tagging? We have set up a robust controlled vocabulary using tags. We have also created multiple custom fields and mapped each one to the specific tag string it pertains to. I want to limit people doing the tagging to only being able to use the existing tags in the specific string thats mapped to the field, however, even though the field is mapped to those specific tags I can’t find a way to prevent people from free typing a tag into the field. Is there a way to lock that down so people can't free type anything in there? If people need a new tag I'd like that to only be able to happen through a request to the admin.

Hi everyone i have workflow group for about us pagesWhere all users can only see only about pages of the site ( people who trigger and who approve the workflow belong to same group)if one user from that group triggers the workflow, except him, rest should be able to approve it. How can i acheive it.

When we apply a metadata profile to a child folder of a parent with a metadata profile we have to choose which profile to use. It doesn’t inherit the data down to the children. For example, we have a profile for Brand attached to the Brand folders. Then we have subfolders under those for the Lines of Business that have profiles attached to them. Ideally, I can create a profile for Brand and one for Line of Business. I’d like to apply the Brand profile to the Brand folder and then apply the Line of Business profile to the Line of Business folder and see the data collected from the Brand folder passed down to the Line of Business one. We have Brand and Line of Business folders in multiple places in our DAM so not being able to pass down the data collected is going to create a crazy amount of metadata profiles which will become very difficult to manage from an admin perspective. Hi, We purchased AEM Assets last year and have begun uploading assets, but we are wondering if there is an AEM Assets archiving capability? If so, what documentation have you found that outlines this capability? If not, how do you archive assets in AEM Assets? Do you delete them, add them to a folder named "Archive," etc.

Access token is also generated. Can anyone try to help me resolve this. Is this the only process to be followed or after generating the access token any other steps need to be followed in order to get the Email ? Thank you.

We're facing issue in ACS AEM common reports. When we try to create the report it created successfully but not showing the below list. I could see the reports under var/acs-aem-commons/report.  Please suggest if you faced the similar issue. Attached the snapshot.   

I am on AEM 6.5 and encountering difficulties with the DAM Update Asset workflow, as it consistently results in a 'Process Failed' status for all assets. Upon further investigation, it appears that the bottleneck is occurring at the 'Scene7 Batch Upload' stage. Despite thorough verification of the dynamic media configurations, which seem correctly set up and identical to those in the Stage and DEV environments, this issue persists exclusively in DEV. An attempt to establish a new Dynamic Media configuration in DEV resulted in a 'Connection Failed' error. Additionally, it is noteworthy that in the DEV environment, the properties 'previewServerToken' and 'previewServerTokenExpiry' are absent when inspected in CRX. These are typically established during the Dynamic Media configuration process, I believe. Any guidance to resolve this issue would be appreciated. Thank you.

Hello everyoneI created a workflow in AEM Cloud to approve some assets created within a folder and then publish them.I also created a related launcher that is activated when the assets are published.The flow works fine, but I want when the contributor clicks the "Quick Publish" button the publish remains in the "pending" state until the approver completes the workflow with the "activate asset" choice.Currently, however, the moment the contributor clicks on the "quick publish" button he publishes it and the workflow starts.How can I solve it?

I want to implement this tool for bulk metadata editing tool.So if I want to maintain the metadata for all assets in a folder at once, but they have different values in different metadata fields.So I can select the assets that I want or folder. Extract excel and work offline and update it,  or changing the fields directly. Any ideas how this is possible?   

I'm facing the issue in generating the report under tools --> assets --> report. When I try to generate the report for the type upload/modification after clicked the create button it showing the popup job has been initiated but in the list not showing the generated report. Its working as expected for type expiration/download.  please suggest if anyone faced the similar issue.

Hii have json file in aem dam. I want to read it in sightly html ( of my aem component). May be shud get it in some data attribute… so i can display that in frontend… how can i do it..using javascript or jquery ? Further i want to do some processing of this data element ( which holds all records of json) … i want to write a loop in sightly… like data.title(1) , data.description (1) , data.title(2) … how can i do that 

In my excel sheet- one of the field is having value - ram and adam are a sensible, They have their weekly "play date."I am trying to convert excel data into json in my java code. Here below is json { "ID": "9.0", "Description": "ram and adam are a sensible, They have their weekly "play date."", "Genre": "Comedy" }But if i try to validate this json this is invalid bcoz of “play date” inside value of description field. Bcoz json itself have quotes n braces. What should i do now to create a valid jsonI tried some regex but did not work

Hi Team, We have an AEMaaCS assets instance which has brand portal enabled on it. I have admin access to the AEM production environment as well as to brand portal. When I navigate to Brand Portal section in Cloud services, I am unable to view he brand portal configuration and also unable to see the Create button. Hi dear Community,i hope you arrived well and healthy in 2024!I did and now getting into the next AEM challenge... i got a lot of reports about this topic:PDF-Export from InDesign files that have a lot of Assets linked to AEMaaCS.Our company did not have a great start working with AEM Assets and its connection to InDesign but the latest Asset Link update brought great relieve.Now we stumble into the next challenge. Let me tell you a bit about the situation.I am very interested to hear from your experiences about the topic.The situation:Big catalogue file. Ca. 600 assets that are all correctly linked to the AEM.Each asset is about 50MB in size, but in the InDesign file, each asset is layouted to be only as big as a passport photo.There is a FPO setting, so placing files in a document is really quick.BUTExporting a print-quality PDF takes 2 hours. In this timeframe InDesign is completely unresponsive.(For comparison, if i have the files locally - this export takes less then 8 minutes AND

One of the customer (Financial domain) is asking  Does Smart Tags and/or Dynamic Media features of AEM (or smart content service leveraging Adobe Sensei) access demographics or PII data?  It's an Assets implementation AEM-6.5 on AMS. If answer is "No", customer wants to know, why it is not possible to access demographic or PII data? 

I am in the process of uploading many assets from a variety of vendors to our AEM. I have noticed that any files with a description in the attached metadata end up having this description as their final title instead of the file name. Is there a reason the description is becoming the title? Is there a way to stop it short of removing the metadata from all of these files?

Hopefully a simple one ! In our metadata schema we've got a tags field, that allows users to look up the agreed list of tags.   but it also allows users to enter free format text into the field and  save it. I can't find any setting to only allows tags in the field to be chosen from the agreed metadata, and NOT allow free format text. Thanks

I'm trying to update metadata with user id through workflow, when I was run the workflow on the particular that asset metadata should be update with the user id.Write a workflow to save the name/id of the user on the metadata of the asset on which the workflow was run on in the field- "user id".I need java code for this.
