Adobe Experience Manager Assets

It would be amazing if we could search in the DAM based on null fields. Also, if we could bulk tag assets with nothing if we have to bulk remove a tag. Does this functionality exist?

Hello everyone, Right now, I have an Assign Task step that is assigned to a specific group and I checked the Notify Assignee by Email, but I'm not receiving any email and I'm part of the "Forms Management" Group.After not receiving the notification email, I went to the inbox to start the task thinking that maybe accessing the task would send me the email but didn't work as well. I reconfigured the Assign Task step to be assigned to a specific user and did get a notification email. That makes me think that when is assigned to the group, the notification email doesn't work. Could someone please help me validate this scenario or maybe I'm missing some configuration? Thank you!

Hi, We've couple of questions for moving from AEM6.5 to AEMaaCS Assets program. could someone please clarify? - In 6.5 we have some workflows on assets creation/modification etc. where there are some custom functionalities. We need to move to cloud and retain the same functionality. As I understand we don't have workflow triggers on assets and it is managed via microservices. Is there any alternative for those workflow triggers on Assets? - How is assets share commons implemented on cloud service when we don't have AEM sites? Do we get a publish tier for AEM Assets also? Thanks,Prajwal

It would be awesome if we could run scripts in the DAM to find empty folders and delete them. This would help immensely with migrations and deduping. Does anyone know if this functionality exists.

Hi,We are using Asset Share Commons 2.2.2 version and extracting facet count to display alongside filters(Ex: Digital(100), Stationary(150)) on the page. We have added custom predicates and made changes by overriding PagePredicateImpl(com.adobe.aem.commons.assetshare.components.predicates.impl) and QueryBuilderResultsImpl(com.adobe.aem.commons.assetshare.search.results.impl.results) to extract the count.  Since asset volume is huge(>50k), we are unable to get the facet count and get an error on the page which says Service Outage: Looks like we are having some issues with our service. We are working hard to bring it online again with the entire page empty. We have lucene indexes defined under(/oak:index/damAssetLucene-8-custom-10/indexRules/dam:Asset/properties). Also tried the same using query debugger tool ,it shows Running search but with no results . We are able to extract the facet count  and the debugger tool also displays results if the dam asset

Our team is currently exploring solutions to audit pdf's in our environment. The main file activities we would like to be able to audit and view are read, edit, and email related activities. Would Adobe Experience Manager or any other Adobe products accomplish this for us?

Hello Fellows, two issues with admin permission set for a specific user. 1)I have an admin that is receiving notifications when i create an asset contribution folder in aem assets.  This admin is not in my Department (meaning she shouldn't have admin access to our assets in our folder, nor receive notifications that i created an asset contribution folder.  We need to remedy specific admins to access specific folders as she as well has her assets that i should not have ability to administer. what woudl be a logical fix that is easy to administer? 2)This same admin as well appears on our Brand Portals user list although she is not assigned the product and should never use it.  Brand Portals is where we are publishing the asset contribution folderl, in which we invite Brand Portals users to upload assets and share back to our prod instance for collaboration.  How do i make sure this admin DOES NOT get url access to this space as she is not enli

Is there a way we can add the below updates to the search filter form in AEM assets admin rail search form  . I don't think this is available OOTB but has anyone come across this and if yes, have you handled this on AEM author  :-Search for all assets that 'DO NOT' have a specific metadata property value or Search for all assets where a specific metadata property is 'BLANK'Looks like a major customization to search form   ?  

Hello!First a little background. I am serving up a Scene7 asset that is made up of two layers, a base image and a play button. The base image layer is a smart crop whose width and height are being constrained by the image preset (1200 x 500). This image preset is also handling the layering of the base layer and the play button.Here is the code that I am using to manage the layering, cropping, etc.:&layer=0&fit=crop&layer=1&scale=1&src=URL/play-button-shadow&originN=0,0This works fine for placing the play button in the center of the background image. The issue is that, because the asset is being scaled to fit the image preset, the size of the play button changes with every image. So my question ... is it possible to have one layer of an image preset scale independently from the other layer? If so, how would I do this? Thanks!!

Hello, I saved a smart collection with about 10 files. I can see the files when I filter by saved searches. But when I try to access the files through the Collections section, the collection is empty and the following text is displayed: "There are no assets to display. Add assets from Assets Console to this collection." And when I try to share the collection link, no assets show up and there is text that says "There is no content to display" Any insight on what is causing this?

I have in the past on other DAM systems been able to have the system email a vendor (or anyone) an email that contains a link to upload assets into a specific folder in the DAMS.  The recipient does not need to login, they simply click the link and are presented with an uploader page.  I could set a limit on when that link expires. Is that possible with AEM Assets?  This would be specific to AEM in Cloud Services as we are moving from Managed Sevices into CS. Thank you! Jim P

Hi, I want to monitor the digital asset lifecycle of assets stored in the DAM through scheduled review tasks. I'd like to set the review date of an asset as soon as it is uploaded to AEM, and then be notified in the future when it's time to perform the review task. A bonus feature I would like to see is to be able to automatically set review dates based on the asset type (e.g. social media content has a review date set 6 months from the creation date, catalogue has a review date set 1 year from the creation date, etc.) Are there OOTB tools to be able to accomplish this specific use case? Thank you,Morgan

Hi AEM Community,   We have developed custom buttons and links in the standard AEM Assets Console for the assets which our business team should use for their day to day operations.However, they are navigating to the Assets Essentials console which has a personalized workspace with some add-ons such as Quick Access (Pinned Items), Tasks etc. which is much more intuitive for the users. Hi all, I'm at the beginning stages of creating the organizational structure for my company's DAM. We use a connector to push assets from Workfront to AEM Assets. I'm considering creating a holding folder in the DAM, where assets that are uploaded from Workfront will be temporarily housed. While assets are in this holding folder, I plan to perform a brief audit of metadata and add asset-specific tags. I then plan to move those assets from the holding folder into a permanent folder in the DAM.  Have any of you created a DAM with this structure? If so, what have been the pros and cons you've experienced with this structure?

Hi Team, We are trying to download assets programmatically from DAM in their original form. We had tried AssetDownloadService -available in Java, for downloading but assets are getting downloaded in zipped folder which is not the requirement in our case. We are using AEM 6.5 and it is on premise. Kindly let us know any pointers on the same.Thanks.

Created a Content Fragment Model and used a Content Reference data type. The "Accept only specified content types" is set to Image. When using the model to create a Content Fragment, it works to select typical image types such as PNG, JPG and SVG. However if a SVG is selected the GraphQL query does not display ImageRef information.
