Adobe Experience Manager Assets

Hi All,   I use CFs for a headless use case.   We have a folder structure and within the folders we have the CFs.   After experimenting with how to publish a folder of contents it appears we need 2 workflows:   To publish the empty folder (using the multivalue field in the workflow), selecting the folder and starting the workflow To publish the contents of the folder, (NOT using the multivalue field in the workflow), selecting the folder and starting the workflow I feel I must be doing something wrong, can you please advise if I can get folders publishing  with their content in one workflow?   As an advanced feature, It would be great after the folder and initial content is there that if the workflow is applied on the folder it does a diff and only takes the changes over. Appreciate that is a bit advanced and I can go in and select the individual items.   Thanks in advance.  

I have a large amount of assets that have quite a bit of metadata tags assigned to each one. I am needing to modify each file and re-upload them. Is there a way to do so and keep the metadata tags assigned to the new file? When I try to upload a new version and have it replace the old version it wipes out all the metadata tags. If I upload it and create a version it keeps the metadata intact but then im wasting storage housing an old file i dont want and i cant see how to delete the old version. Any advice on this would be greatly appreciated! Thnaks!

Hello,There are several workflows when setting up a translation project. The Create Structure Only method does not duplicate the images that are on the page into the Assets folder. The Create Translation Project method, on the other hand, creates a single image for each selected language in the Assets folder. Is there any way to avoid having to replace each image in each language copy when updating an image?Is it possible that the only way to replace the image is by individually updating it in each folder corresponding to the 20 different languages? Ideally, I'd like to replace the image once and have it automatically updated across all language copies. Can the image be excluded when selecting the "Create Translation Project"?

I am attempting to create a new image preset to add a 1px black border on assets. In the image below, I am able to do this for 2 sides of the image, but cannot seem to get the align function work so that this is centered on the entire document:align=0,0&effect=1&op_grow=1&color=0,0,0

I need update a file excel in my assets. This file is used to full a combo but, when I tried update, this combo was empty And I reviewed the setting but the path is correct Can you help me, please?

 Do we have any case studies where AEM sites running on on-premise with 6.5 and assets on cloud? Is this recommended approach? If Yes, do we have any Risks/Limitations? We should have all the authoring capabilities on on-premise instance just integrating the assets from cloud.  

Hi All,We have a use case where the asset exists in the source folder and it is already published and synced with dynamic media.Now when we move image from source folder to destination folder , the image at the destination folder does not get sync with dynamic media and when we publish it manually , it says the image got published on the card view , but when we try to access the image using scene7 URL , it is not accessible.So I am trying to find a way where after copying or moving the asset from one location to another we can reprocess the asset again.

Is there a way to mark a filterable property in the search rail so that it will show all the assets that DON'T have that property? As in: Show me all of the files in this folder that ARE NOT tagged "insert specific property here" Thanks!

Hi  I am Trying to Translate  my CF in Spanish and French. So For French Lang it is getting translated but multifield json data is getting stored as {"lang »:"Anglais »,"href »:"/content/bms340b »,"cross-site »:""}  So any on have idea How to remove >> while translating ..2 For Spanish the CF Multifield Data is not getting Translated it is reflected in English Lang only

Hello,   We are working on a use case where we have to capture 'intention of use' when a user is trying to download assets from AEM assets and Adobe Brandportal. Is there any way to capture 'intention of use' as an input from a user when downloading? There are some open questions related to the same?1. How to add a form field(textfield) to capture 'intention of use'? 2. How to handle the data captured during this process?  

Hi, I need to pull a report from AEM extracting a list of assets and filtering by those that are live (active on a published page) so that I can perform some clean up (of data within them) in bulk.  I'm using this tutorial to pull the export, but I can't for the life of me figure out how to filter by only the assets that are live/published. In AEM Assets (Cloud) I have published an entire folder from AEM to Brand Portal but when reviewing the assets in AEM, many are not showing as published (they do not have the publish date or globe icon).   When I look for the assets in Brand Portal some, but not all are there.  There are several thousand assets so it is impossible to check each one manually. Is there a reason for the assets in AEM to not accurately be reflected as published?  How do I get accurate data to know what has/has not been published?

Hello Team, I am new to AEM. I need to integrate Adobe AEM Assets with Workfront for a basic use case.I have no prior experience in setting up AEM CaaS and Assets as a Cloud Service. I have access to the admin console and see the Cloud Manager application. My questions are:Can someone please guide me to the documentation or step-by-step process of how to integrate and set up this?Do I need a local AEM setup on my system for this or this can be achieved without it? If yes, how can I set up this? Can this be achieved by configuration or do we need to write code for it currently my technical team people are on vacation and unfortunately they will not be back before this use case timeline finishes.Thanks in advance, 

Hello All, Facing an issue in the collection not being visible after creating it via "addtocollection" wizard. Select any asset from the DAMClick "Add" -> To CollectionThis opens the Add To Collection Wizard - /mnt/overlay/dam/gui/content/collections/addtocollectionwizard.external.html Click "+ Create" collection. Add any name and select Public Collection.The newly created collection does not appear and it requires a page refresh in order to display this. Please note we have an index on collection and if we delete this, it functions fine. What makes this index to cause such a conflict?  Thanks in Advance!

Hello everyone,I've integrated AEM and Workfront using the improved connector v1.9.11.when an AEM user deletes a linked folder from AEM, that folder is still visible in Workfront and an error is thrown if the user tries to navigate (obviously because the folder no longer exists) And even if i do a request to the workfront API, the json response has the deleted folder. What is the issue? how i can update the list to have the same status between aem and workfront when folder are removed? Thanks in advance

Hello community,I've integrated AEM as a Cloud Service and workfront using the enhanced connector v1.9.11 (i'm using the enhanced connector because it was added some time ago by adobe to the customer environments and workfront instances are not the admin console so i cant use the current ootb connector implementation).All is working fine. Except when an user upload an asset from AEM. The document is created on workfront but the metadata sync is not working because the wfDocumentId is not being added to the dam asset properties. I've created an AEM Workflow which is executed after asset processing finishes to make a call to workfront and try to get the document id. but sometimes i get an empty response because i think the request is done before the document is visible.have anyone tried something like this?thanks in advance

We are getting code quality issues in the code scanning results with the severity "Critical" from Adobe Cloud Manager on implementing "com.day.cq.dam.api.handler.xmp.XMPWriteBackOptions".The issue description is "The product interface com.day.cq.dam.api.handler.xmp.XMPWriteBackOptions annotated with @ProviderType should not be implemented by custom code." This pushed the reliability rating to "D", as there should not be any "Critical" or "Major" issue to gain a better reliability rating.  Is there a way to fix or negotiate this? The deployments would fail on Stage and overwriting the reliability rating setting is not an option on Stage and Production. 

Hi all,  Wondering if there is existing code or documentation on making nested filter options in Asset Share Commons or filters that have dependancies. for a simple exmaple, I want to filter CarThen based on Car I want to see the different drop downs for different makers of cars. Thanks, Matt

I'm trying to get some data out of our AEM Assets (Cloud Service) DAM. For any given asset, you can view the properties and on the Basic and References tabs, you can see documents that reference an asset. For example an InDesign file may link to a logo and several photos (using Asset Link). If I look at the properties of one of the photos, it will show References and then Compositions on the Basic tab and list the InDesign file. On the References tab it will show the same InDesign file under Local References. But none of this info is saved as Meta data, so I can't access it. Our AEM integrator said it would be a very time consuming job to create a custom report. All we want is to be able to get a list of all assets and even just a number of references (though the list of actual reference files is fine too since we know the data is there). So if a photo was used in 10 InDesign files, we want to know that.  For some reason, there's just no easy way to get this data.  

Hello, My process is1. Download package from stage2. Upload package to local build generated via jar file3. Pull changes into code using 'repo' tool in intellij(https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=70LL5Lfjy1E) In stage crxde metadata lives in'conf/global/settings/dam/adminui-extension/metadataschema/customstatusschema''/libs/dam/gui/content/assets/jcr:content/actions/secondary/create/items/metadata' However when I view my intellij repo I don't see corresponding folders - or folders which contain the necessary jcr_root to pull changes in  Updating Media Thank you!

  I added property predicate in Admin Asset search form in aem as a cloud.This works fine for exact text but when i try with partial text i am not getting any results. I have enable the partial search checkbox but it's not working. Please advise how to make it work.

When running Launch Review on a folder from 'Create Review Task' the workflow process runs and completes. However I am unable to run Launch review as a workflow on folder, or run Launch Review as workflow on an asset.When trying to run Launch Review as a workflow the process times out and does not update the property on the asset.
