Adobe Experience Manager Assets

How to get the usage data in insights tab in AEM . Note: All configs are done and we are able to get impressions for the images which we are using in our custom component.Only issue is USAGE stats for web and mobileWeb & Mobile: The number of times the asset was part of websites and apps.For OOTB image it shows the data but not for custom one. If anyone faced the same issue or have any in-detail explanation for this then kindly revert. Ref: https://experienceleague.adobe.com/docs/experience-manager-cloud-service/content/assets/manage/assets-insights.html?lang=en  Thanks 

Hello 😃 Aa the title states, when I search for a piece of text within a PDF on Publisher it does not show any results. However, the same search on Author does provide results. I have reindexed lucene indexes and I'm using AEM service package 6.5.12.0.    I have the feeling; I'm missing to publish a setting?   Any help would be much appreciated.  If you need more details, feel free to ask 🙂   Thank you indeed. 

Do any of the AEM API's have an endpoint for generating a share link for an asset using AEM 6.5 or Cloud? It should expire after x time or be single-time-use. I'am looking for a link as described below. I've been working on getting a sample AEM workflow up and running. I'm using the sample, post-generation workflow documented here: Post Generation Workflow | Adobe Experience Manager. This particular workflow is interesting because it captures the AEM metadata. My content is authored in DITA using AEM Guides. I downloaded the sample package and loaded it into my localhost using CRXDE. I followed the instructions in creating an output preset (PDF). When I generate output from Guides, I am getting an error message in Assets:From the Assets page, I am selecting the Advance option to move the workflow to the finalize process.I am attaching the log file as a zip file.

I'm trying hard not to ask a question that's been answered a number of times, but I keep on getting varying responses. Hopefully, somebody here can set me straight. I want to change the names of some folders. If I change the folder path, will those assets continue to be displayed on existing pages that have them added using the old folder name? To simplify it a bit, I want to move assets to a new folder structure but I don't want them to show up as broken links on any existing published page. Thank you in advance for any information and guidance you can provide.

Hi AEM Community,   I have just installed packages for AC Tool and Oak Index File on RDE environment in AEMaaCS. However, on the AC Tool configuration page at /aem/mnt/overlay/netcentric/actool/content/overview.html, I am getting the below issue-    The downloaded dump is displaying null.   When trying the same on local cloud SDK it is working fine, the downloaded dump contains OTB group & acl configurations -    Is there any step that I am missing? The same repo is being deployed on local SDK and the artifacts of same are being pushed on RDE via aio-cli plugin.   Thanks, Rohan Garg    

Hi, I wish to change the asset name while sending it to Scene7. For example, if I upload an asset in AEM author instance (/content/dam/project1/collection/summer.jpg)By default, this asset will be synchronized with Scene7/DM with the same name. However, I want an asset to be pushed to Scene7 by a different name (in this case GUID). Can you please suggest any options? Thanks!

We have a business requirement where there's a need to add plugins to Markdown editor within the Multitext (RTE) when used in a content fragment. Could you please confirm if this is possible to achieve in AEM 6.4 or even 6.5 version ? If it is possible then request you to please advise on how can we add custom or even out of box plugins to Markdown editor (see attached screen caps) in a similar way it is available in Rich text editor.  Since business users have a specific need to use only Markdown editor (and not rich text) so request you to kindly share the steps on how this can be done (if possible). Adobe Experience Manager 6.5.14.0

I am using the dynamic media to render images in AEM 6.2. However when I try to render a transparent image using Dynamic Media , the resulting image is turned to a normal image with white background.For Example , content path in DAM : /content/dam/silversea-com/19.pngRendering using dynamic media with this path : /is/image/content/dam/silversea-com/19.png??wid=90&hei=90 (even /is/image/content/dam/silversea-com/19.png for that matter )Any idea why this is occurring ?ThanksSachin

When I open the link below, the image download automatically. I wanted to prevent the image from downloading and wanted it to load on the browser, so I unchecked the checkbox in Apache Sling Content  Disposition Filter for the field Enable For All Resource Paths. But even if I add content/*:image/jpg to Included Resource Paths & Content Types, the image still gets downloaded. I also tried by adding the absolute image path to Excluded Resource Paths, the image still gets downloaded. How can I prevent it?http://localhost:4502/content/dam/v-foundation.jpg

Hello Everyone We have a requirement to store 14,000+ assets ( XML, pdf) documents in AEM. Each file of very less size but the volume is huge.we dont use these assets to display on page/site.We don't publish the assets as well. We are just uploading in AEM to handle metadata properties.View asset content. When uploaded on our lower environments. We saw multiple issues.1. Timeline of assets was not working.2. Aem automatically use to restart because of java out of memory exception3. Aem was experiencing slowness My question is, how to handle such large assets in AEM without impacting the performance of AEM?Pls note:we dont use these assets to display on page/site.We don't publish the assets as well.We are just uploading in AEM to handle metadata properties.View asset content. Any best approach or reference would help @joerghoh Thanks

Hello -- Is there a way to get the Content Tree view in AEM Assets to appear in alphabetical order by folder/asset name? Clicking Sort By and ascending/descending order only sorts the actual folder/assets, but doesn't affect the Content Tree. AEMaaCS version 2023.4.12142.20230526T152858Z

We are getting an error when trying to generate a Smart Crop on a very narrow image (32x1200).  Dynamic Media is throwing an error: "The supplied auto-swatch generation parameters (SmartCrop) led to an invalid swatch. No auto-swatch operation was applied to this image."  Our Smart Crop swatch parameters are 30x30, so the image is not too narrow to generate a swatch in theory.  Adobe's documentation doesn't seem to list a minimum width or aspect ratio where Smart Crops do not work.  Is anyone aware of what constraints exist for Smart Crops for the source file?  We're using the Smart Crops programmatically, so we need to avoid trying to generate Smart Crops for problem files, but we're not sure what attributes to use to avoid Smart Crops.  I supposed we could add a try / catch, but that seems inelegant. Thanks!Beau Background: AEM 6.5 SP16 in AMS connected to Dynamic Media.

Hi All, We have a requirement while creating an DAM asset report, It suppose to have only two columns in which the first one should have only folders(including sub-folders) in the selected DAM path and in the other the respective owner has to appeared. Once the report generated, after updating any fields in .csv. Same has to be updated AEM Assets page as well.  Please let me if you come across such development. Thanks in advance.

Hi,  I'm trying to figure out the source to a mystery with our AEM instance. We noticed that the File upload warning disappeared for a few weeks, and up until about a week ago, we noticed the Name Conflict Warning box was popping up again, but with a totally different interface (UUID, existing file path). Anyone have any ideas or experienced something similar with Assets? If it was part of a maintenance update, it would be great to know which one and when it was released.

Hello Team, Asset download count is not reflecting in AEM Asset File Type Report (OOTB report functionality) in AEMasCS and it is working fine for 6.5I have updated the Event Recorder Configuration also and have the necessary privilege's . Still, frequency is 0 for all the assets. Any leads will be appreciated.

Hello Team,We are using AEM 6.5 Server (Not on Cloud). For AEM Author Server Users Authentication, we use SAML. On AEM Author Server, we got a requirement to connect to external application API. We will host our API and External Server (not AEM Server and not in same Domain) will provide the JSON content. We will consume the JSON content from the API and put in our JCR repository and dynamically replicate/publish the content.Could you please provide the approach and steps for Authentication of API? Do we need Authorization (using SAML SSO) to external Server as well and use JWT token on the top of it for Authentication? Could you please provide example code (if possible JAVA) as well? Thanks.
