Hi All, How do we calculate the size of node store space requirement when data store is configured in S3 bucket. We can size the data store based on the asset requirement but in this separate storage scenario how do we calculate and size node store alone separately.   Please suggest. Regards

Hi All,   Use Case: We have our vendor portal on publisher and all our assets are uploaded by users through vendor portal and they get stored in "/var/vendor/admin/" in publisher and then the assets get replicated from publisher to author through reverse replication and assets get deleted from publisher. And then our process continues through our logic in author.   Issue: Now, if we are deleting the asset node from publisher under path "/var/vendor/admin/" then they get automatically formed again and again in publisher and gets replicated again to author. This issue started happening only on staging environment from last week.   We have restarted both author as well as publisher but issue still remains.   We also noticed certain similar errors on publisher: " *ERROR* [sling-default-4-com.day.cq.replication.impl.ReverseReplicator.8365] com.day.cq.replication.Agent.publish1eastus_reverse Errors during importing reverse replicated content of /var/vendor/admin/_b/t

Our team was not provided the workbook mentioned in the training videos, nor was the consulting team we hired. It would be very helpful to have a workbook both to ad to our learning curve and in the user training we're developing for our Creative Dept users. While uploading assets in aem as a cloud," dc: forma" t property is not getting created for certain type of assets (like .sketch, .oft. .ase, .plist). I have set the value of  "cq.dam.detect.asset.mime.from.content" to true in osgi configurations and it's pulling the file type on my local AEM as a cloud SDK but not on cloud. I have the below query to get a image node from an instance over 1 million assets    type=dam:Asset path=/content/dam/company/product-assets nodename=test.tif p.limit=-1     XPATH Query /jcr:root/content/dam/company/product-assets//element(*, dam:Asset)[(fn:name() = 'test.tif')]   SQL2 select [jcr:path], [jcr:score], * from [dam:Asset] as a where name(a) = 'test.tif' and isdescendantnode(a, '/content/dam/company/product-assets')   This gives me node traversal error. Can someone help me how I can recreate this query or how to index fn:name?   Below is what the oak generation tool gave definition for creating index and this is still in place But still it gives indexing error.      

I am trying to upgrade acs commons from 5.0.6 to 5.3.4, Below are the pom.xml changes.       But, getting below error and it is not downloading the new version dependency. Can someone help out on what is happening here? Hi there,   I'm trying to build a small app that leverages the HTTP API explained here to upload assets to our Cloud AEM instance:   https://experienceleague.adobe.com/docs/experience-manager-cloud-service/content/assets/admin/developer-reference-material-apis.html?lang=en   When I execute the initial HTTP request via Postman, I'm getting a response back, but it's just this:   [{"fileName":"apologies-i-have-none.jpg"}]   I've tested connectivity to the API by calling other parts of it using Basic Authentication, and that works fine.   When I try similar via the aem-upload node.js packages, I get failures but for different reasons. hi,   we created assets custom metadata schema form to allow users to add additional tags on separate tab, those tags are obviously not saved to cq:tags props upon save. What would be the approach to intercept save, extract tags from custom props (wlimgtag & wlsoltag). and save it to cq:tags property so that they are later available for assets search by tags.         Thanks

For one of my requirements, I want to sync assets back from scene7 to AEM author cloud instance. I read a few posts and understood it was possible using feed importer in AEM6.1 but even those posts doesn't has much details.    Has anyone faced such a scenario in the past and was able to find any relevant configuration?

I do have json files to be served from scene7. front end team using https://lottiefiles.com/ to covert these json files to gifs. I know how to serve image files using scene7 but not sure how would json files will be served.   Can anyone help? In a usual images scenario, I would be doing https://images.company-media.com/is/content/ABS/image-one or https://images.company-media.com/is/image/ABS/image-two    Not sure how to serve a json. Any help is appreciated.

Hi All,   I am using the assets API to return a list of Content Fragments. If this is called while someone has started to create a CF but hasn't saved it, the API returns the partial CF (e.g. an empty shell).   There is no saved date on the CF on the API so does anyone have any suggestions on how to overcome this please?   Thanks.

hello community   I have been doing deployments since I upgraded from aem 6.4 to 6.5, in dev environment and prod it deploys without problems, however, every time it is deployed in stage it consumes 5gb of the machine's hard drive. What could be causing this, has anyone experienced something similar? Before, deployment was not done through the cloud manager, it was done manually.

What is the best practice for DAM custom metadata schema and custom search forms. Do we commit the /conf/../dam/adminui-extension/metadataschema/.. into Git codebase and deploy through maven into AEM? OR do we treat metadata schema similar to /content and install the package manually on different environments?

Hi All, I have a requirement where i need to allow the author to select the type of schema he wants to apply for asset after uploading.We have 2 metadata models.Author will choose which one to apply during asset upload. Within same folder i may have few asset with Model A and few assets with Model B.   I know we can create custom schema using Mime type. But in my case same mime type may get different metadata schemas.  I tried contextual metadata but it removes all other tabs and give only option to include one tab.    In my case i want all the default schema tabs like Basic,Advanced,IPTC,IPTC Extension,Camera Data + Tab B or Tab B.   Any idea on how to achieve this.   Regards, Ganthi

I wanted to check on recommendations / best approaches on the below use case - Use case: - Assets are consumed by online external web applications. When a new asset is uploaded or an existing asset is updated, these need to be tested by staging web application first before prod applications can use them . Once approved on the staging web application, assets should be available to the production application.  Possible soln -  a) Upload assets on staging env - > point staging app to stage publish to consume assets & Prod app to prod publish. Issue - On every approval, user has to package assets and move to prod author and publish. Pros : No customization Cons : Manual thing. Will take time and prone to manual error & delays. b) Customise workflow , on approval on stage add custom replication agent to replicate to prod author & publish. Cons: Two env to be managed(Stage & prod) - no of authors 8 for now. Stage env is not true replica of Prod so testing may not

Hello, Are Asset templates supported with AEM as Cloud service? I found this documentation about using In Design Asset templates with AEM (https://experienceleague.adobe.com/docs/experience-manager-learn/assets/asset-templates/asset-templates-tutorial-understand.html)According to this documentation a legacy Cloud Service should be configured along with proper externalizer config - this is documented for AEM on prem. Is this supported for AEM as Cloud service? I could not find any documentation on that matter under Cloud documentationIs there any documentation on that matter for Cloud setup?
