Is it possible to move an assets from one folder to another using javacode on publisher instance.

HI All, Has anyone been able to set up AEM - Workfront enhanced connector?Specifically few questions below :1. Is it possible to initiate an approval process in workfront when an asset is uploaded into an AEM folder?2. Are the asset files from AEM actually moved to workfront? Thanks in advance for help.

I have a client that has UGC ....users make selections and it builds images dynamically, and we need to put it into dynamic media to be able to share later. Is there any api's out of box that will allow for that? So user goes and "creates" images and then the system needs to upload them to somewhere (dynamic media) and we give the user to share the images on social platforms.

Is there a way to delete metadata in bulk using a CSV/Excel file or any other method in AEM 6.5?We can add/modify existing fields, but can't remove already existing metadata fields. Any suggestions will be really helpful.

Hi,We need to add a couple of new metadata properties to the search index. For that, we have created a custom index, included the additional properties, and made it part of our source code. Referred this link - https://experienceleague.adobe.com/docs/experience-manager-cloud-service/content/operations/indexing.html?lang=en  to do this.Built and deployed the code successfully in my local AEM instance. Now when we try to deploy the same code into the cloud instance through cloud manager pipeline, it fails in the code scanning step with this error - "The index /oak:index/damAssetLucene-7-custom-1 is a customization of the out of the box index /oak:index/damAssetLucene which requires a config.xml file under the child node named tika". The strange thing is that we already have this tika folder as part of our index code and a config.xml inside it. But somehow, AEM/pipeline doesn't recognize it and keeps on failing. Can anyone help to resolve this?Thanks,Rahul

I am using the Assets HTTP API. One of the limitations is "Asset API does not return the complete metadata. In API the namespaces are hardcoded and those only get returned. If you need whole metadata, then look at the asset path /jcr_content/metadata.json." I am accessing the following path but it still does not show the complete metadata<URL>/api/assets/image.png.json/jcr_content/metadata.json Am I accessing an invalid endpoint?

Hello Team, AEM Version: AEM Cloud For admin, we can see "Export Meta data option" but for other users, We can not. Could someone help us how and what permission to give to them so that other groups could also view this option.  

Hi there, admin in creative cloud have created a deployment package with the Asset Link so that extension is now available as an extension i CC-apps like Photoshop, but the extension does not find any environment, how is that link actually done? It seems to be some automagic being done based on the user ID (enterprise license id), eg same ID used for creative cloud is added as a user for AEM Assets Essentials, but  it doesnt seem to work. What is the next thing to check?

Hi All, I have created a AEM project using AEM-Archetype 32.  I am using Visual Code Studio for development. Assume my /content/dam folder contains some digital assets and I am going to add one new image to my dam folder. After uploading I used "Import from AEM Server" Option in Visual Studio Code for downloading it in my local environment. Then when i try to commit it to my AEM Cloud Git Status it showing all the images are modified instead of showing only the last image I added. Any idea why its showing all the assets are modified during Git status ? Cheers 🙂

Hi, we installed SP9 on our dev servers. Since then we were not able to update the assets to dynamic media. After troubleshooting we found that assets are getting uploaded to scene7 but their metadata is still showing as uploadStarted instead of completed. Also no other properties e.g. scene7 asset url, company id etc. are getting updated to these asset’s metadata node. This was working fine earlier without Service Pack 9 Installation. Currently also, it is working fine on those servers where we have not installed SP9. any help in this would be appreciated. Thanks! 

Hi All, Recently I configured Dynamic Media classic in my local instance and its saved successfully too. Hi All, I have a requirement to move asset/s from one path (/content/dam/sourcePath) to (/content/dam/dest) path.I am planning to use asssetManager.moveAsset(..) operation from com.adobe.granite.asset.api.AssetManager API.Ref.https://www.adobe.io/experience-manager/reference-materials/6-5/javadoc/com/adobe/granite/asset/api/AssetManager.htmlConsidering the AEM's newer architecture(AEM CS), is this the right way to implement asset move functionality? If I have to go with given API, how does assetManager.moveAsset operation works for already published assets, whether I need to unpublish it first and then invoke moveAsset operation or it will internally first unpublish it and then perform asset move?Any suggestions please..Thanks

Hi All, I am trying to create some Interactive Images using AEM Assets. Following are the steps I have followed1. Upload a image in Asset. Once upload finished successfully, clicked on Edit but not able to see Hot Spot Icon.2. Then configured Dynamic media and uploaded the same image once again. Image upload was successful and I am able to view the uploaded image from AEM Asset in Dynamic Media too.3. I am able to see Hot spot icon. But when I clicked Hotspot icon for image mapping I am not able to see the image in hotspot editor.4. When I inspect the particular page, whats happening is its trying to request some JSON from http://localhost:4502/is/image/<pathofimage>?req=set,json,UTF-8&label....5. If I replace the localhost:4502 with my Scene7 server, its returning me the actual JSON.6. Instead of Scene7 server its taking localhost. Can someone help me in resolving this issue? Thanks in Advance 🙂 

Hi, We want to move to release orchestration provided by AEM cloud in our POM currently we have SDK version mentioned where we define which version of AEM we are trying to use. I understand from automation point of view it is redundant as then it always requires a POM change to be done in git code. I am assuming there is a some environment variable we can use in our POM which can dynamically pick the latest SDK version in our main pom we have this property</properties>  <aem.sdk.api>2021.10.5933.20211012T154732Z-210900</aem.sdk.api></properties>or the cloud manager is smart enough to ignore this and just take the correct value? Thanks,Shehjad

Can we create a review task at an individual image level instead of folder or collection?

I am trying to run requests with Assets HTTP calls (initiateupload, create folder), but I get Unable to verify the first certificate errors whenever I try to do a POST.

for AEM components it is possible to set the wrapper elements markup via the `cq:htmlTag` > `cq:tagName` attribute. e.g. `cq:tagName = "ul" `.But when i set its value to a custom element. e.g. `cq:tagName = "my-teaser" `, then the wrapper element is not rendered. Is there a workaround for this issue?

What is the best way to replicate changes made to a teaser that is used across several variations of an experience fragment, to avoid having to make the change manually multiple times?

I've configured the Bulk Ingestion tool to fetch assets from Azure Blob store. I've also placed the metadata file in Azure blob. I'm then trying to "Dry Run" the import tool and I get the below errorIf I remove the metadata file path from the tool configuration, the import works fine but I need to import the metadata as well. Please suggest.

Hi all,I have just started working on AEM Assets. I am currently trying to upload an image asset from my local disk to my local AEM instance. I am providing those images some metadata properties such as dc:title and dc:description using Photoshop. However, these properties are not visible to me once I upload the asset to AEM. Also the vice-versa process from AEM to photoshop doesn't seem to work. Also renditions and thumbnails are not being generated for my asset once I upload those to AEM and the dam:assetState is always stuck at "unProcessed" everytime I upload any asset to AEM. I have never made any changes to my DAM Update asset workflow as I have just recently started working with assets and workflows. Please help me with this. Thank you.
