Issue & Background:We manage a DAM system with over 3 million assets, where every uploaded asset goes through the DAM Update Workflow. This workflow includes several steps, such as generating a 4K JPEG rendition and a few OOB thumbnail renditions.A new requirement emerged where assets within a specific folder—/product-assets (containing over 1 million assets)—now need an additional 4K PNG rendition along with the existing 4K JPEG rendition.To prevent adding extra load on the DAM Update Workflow, we created a separate Rendition Maker Workflow specifically for this 4K PNG rendition and applied it only to the /product-assets folder via a launcher.As a result, assets in this folder now go through two workflows:DAM Update Workflow (standard process)Rendition Maker Workflow (4K PNG rendition generation)However, we have observed an issue (based on assumption) that running two workflows simultaneously on assets is leading to:Some renditions getting corrupted or not being generated properly

Hi Team, I want to create an event for my AEM as Cloud Service Publish instance(Asset share common) where I want to track If anyone click on search button on my AEM as Cloud Service Publish instance(Asset share common) to search asset with name or any other metadata fields, Then one event got created and send the search data to custom IO Events Journals and then read that data in Author to store queue in AEM under some path.Please help me on doing this, I am not able to proceed with the requirement. Thanks

Hi, I'm looking for a simple (preferably OOTB) way to prevent certain assets from being deleted in AEM. These assets all pdfs, they share a specific tag, and they each are a source to a live copy. The expiration date feature is not an option for this specific use case. Any recommendations on this? I'm guessing the answer is building a workflow, however I have very limited experiences with this AEM feature. Thank you,Morgan

Hi,We have a requirement where if a user clicks on an asset and then presses the browser back button, the scroll bar should not go to the top but should remain at the asset that was clicked earlier.This functionality is crucial for maintaining a seamless user experience, as it prevents users from losing their place on the page.Example:Step 1: Suppose a user clicks on the asset. Step 2: The asset is opened, and now if the browser's back button is clicked. Step 3: The scroll bar goes to the top.Step 4: However, we want the functionality where the scroll bar remains at the asset that was clicked earlier. We would appreciate your assistance in implementing this feature.Thanks & Regards,Vishal Jain

In an AEM Sites implementation with the integration of Adobe Commerce using the CIF add-on and components, we want to expose information through content fragments in a structured manner for a headless use case. In testing, we correctly obtain the internal values, such as the product ID and category ID.  However, I would like to be able to obtain, for example, product information such as the name, slug, etc., and the category name. Is this possible? I am sharing the query I am currently using and the data types I'm talking about.   Thanks in advance for any help you can provide.

Hi dear community!I am looking at something that just been brought to my attention.We all know that an asset that is expired by prism:ExpirationDate will lose some of its functions (as it should).The asset will no longer be downloadable, it gets depublished, AssetLink will not longer find the asset etc. pp.All good stuff. BUT now the same behavior comes up with InDesign Files that simply contain an expired asset.isSubassetIsExpired seems to trigger the same behavior - at least regarding the "move" functionality.*Edit: Even Download is blocked ;(   This behavior will make an librarian out of our administrators... they will move a lot of files. Imagine a single picture that renders 500 InDesign files as SubAssetExpired. Does anybody know what acls are responsible for this behavior / if it is possible to grant rights to "move"?

We are trying to integrate AEM Assets with our AEM Sites. Both are AMS instances in their topology. We are using Sling Content Forward Distribution(SCD) to sync the assets from Assets to Sites. Anytime the user uploads/updates/deletes the assets in AEM Assets and SCD will sync to sites and those assets will be used in sites' pages. The problem we see is when the content author moves an asset from FolderA to FolderB in AEM Assets and it gets SCD synced with AEM Sites' FolderA to FolderB, but the references of the asset been used in multiple pages in sites are not updated automatically. Normally when we move an asset in within sites dam, popup will be shown with all references of the pages to content author and the references also gets updated. How can we fix this move issue while integrating the AEM Sites with AEM Assets?  Is there an way we can capture the move has happened? Like a event "topic" in AEM Sites when the sync happens that we can subscribe to and address the move progr

Why are my uploaded transparent PNG assets being published to the CDN with a white background?

I want to make Tags manadatory for my assets in AEM DAM. when I add /jcr:content/metadata/cq:tags to the schema it does not offer the choice to be required. We are not on the Cloud service but do have dev help but I would like to do this on my own if possible. Can anyone help?

Is it a problem that Importing folders and contents via Touch UI includes hidden files from UNIX source?

We have legal and privacy copy that is required on all of our websites and apps. We are currently managing these with a website dedicated to legal that the rest of our sites and apps pull from. This workflow works great for our sites and apps but does not currently help our print and email workflows. Those workflows are still quite manual and I'm hoping to automate them to minimize the risk of human error. I'm investigating whether or not I can handle this process using the DAM so that it can serve as a source of truth for this data and then push it out not only to the sites and apps but also to emails and Creative Cloud apps through integrations. Does anyone know if AEM can manage text/data files in this manner? I'm not looking to save these as Word docs in the system. I need to be able to deny metadata edit permissions for 2 groups on the 2 metadata fields that control publication of assets to Content Hub. The metadata fields in question are: Metadata Type -> Field Label -> Map to Property -> Choicesdropdown -> Content Hub Status -> ./jcr:content/metadata/dam:status -> approved, rejected, changesRequesteddropdown -> Approval Target -> ./jcr:content/metadata/dam:activationTarget -> contenthub, deliveryI need to configure permissions such that only users in these 2 groups can edit these 2 fields while ensuring that all other metadata fields can be edited by all "contributors" of the Author Instance:WKND AEM AdminsWKND AEM LibrariansBy restricting edit access to these 2 metadata fields we ensure that only the limited number of users in the librarian and admin groups are able to publish assets to Content Hub.What is the best way to implement this type of restriction using out of the box capabilities?

Trying to find out the limitations of Assets as a Cloud service (specific to cloud service and not 6.5 on premises or AMS environments) that we should abide by?1) Limitation on the Storage of native files within AEM Assets?2) Limitation on the size of files stored in AEM Assets under a folder?3) Limitation around the number of file/folders under a hierarchy?4) Any general limitation that we should abide by when dealing with DAM? If there is a benchmarking done by Adobe, it would be great to get a handle to that link?

I've not found a clear way to export the Dynamic URLs outside of the UI. Is this a custom setup? What parameter do I use in custom report field? This seems like a feature that would be a crucial function. What am I missing? I've seen it in other setups but not in ours. 

As per Assets documentation in AEM as a cloud service, assets are stored in binary storage . As attached screentshot  I can see binary is stored in CRX . Is that should be a reference to binary storage rather than binary itself ?

Is there a way to have the Append mode option selected by default for metadata changes?

Only on Prod Instance, seeing below error while uploading the file. Are there any file name character limit in AEM6.5? Tried with too long name in local and don't see the issue though. Is anyone seeing similar issue? Please help.   

HI, We've got 5 static image renditions created on upload to provide thumbnails for Assets to use when displaying the image in card or list view etc. I beliege these are mandatory. See attachment. That's fine - but these are no use for real users of Assets and I'd therefore like to hide them from the 'renditions' panel and as options on download. Has anyone got ideas if that's possible ... and if so how ? Thanks  

/granite/ui/components/coral/foundation/components/clientlibs/components.js is OOTB js which is throwing an exception. This issue is happening if there is more content to be loaded in the content tree. The current OOTB JS does not seem to have the code to load more content and subsequently throws the above exception.  The below code seems to be missing in on Prem, due to which load more is not working     

I've been told that I can only apply permissions to folders in AEM Assets. Is that truly the case? For our workflows here it would be optimal to point all users to the same images folder but apply permissions to fields in the asset to curate the images. For example, people from certain regions of departments would only see images in that are tagged with their region or department. AEM is the first DAM I've worked with that did not allow for this type of permissioning so its a bit puzzling to me that I'm told this functionality doesn't exist.
