Hi Members, we have a site wholly hosted on AEM and apache webserver. We are facing an issue where the web pages are displaying favicon.ico correctly but the same are not getting displayed on pdfs and videos.On searching online, we found that keeping favicon in root folder should resolve the issue or keeping in /etc/designs/default can help in resolving the issue, but none of them are working.Due to this issue, we are getting lot of 404 error logs almost 10K per day. Please help in resolving this issue. Thanks in advance.

So we published the contribution folder to brand portal and it correctly created "New" and "Shared" folders. However the agency partners do not see the "Create" option. Is that because we need to upload that user list in AEM Assets by going to contribution folder, "Asset Contribution" tab and adding members there? If the member does nto exist there, they will not see "Create" on brand portal ---> is that the correct behavior?  If I now add the user by importing them in AEM --> tools --> Assets ---> Brand Portal Users, how do I force the contribution folder rights into brand portal ..will I need to publish the brand portal? Or the rights will be synced on schedule

Hi everyone, Is it the standard setting that newly uploaded assets have an expiration time of only one year?I want to be honest: Manually setting the expiration date for assets that were already uploaded for for a longer time period is quite time consuming.Is there an option to automatically set the asset duration to a longer time period or even to infinite? Or no expiration at all?As I am a working student at my company it falls into my hands to deal with the expiration dates and I would like use my limited time to do something more productive. Thanks

It happens several times, but not happens every time.When I export the metadata profile for a folder, some columns are missing, the columns look like random missing.. but when my colleague export again after me, it works fine again..Checked in error.log, nothing special found..Thanks.

Hello, I am working on adding video to a website, and I am using AEM's video viewer presets to essentially embed the video in. The video has to be looped and auto-played. The issue I am having is that every video viewer I work with (I've made several now) makes about the first 6 seconds of the video really blurry, and then the rest (16 second long video) is completely fine.  Does anyone know why this may be happening? Is there anything I can do about it? I'm guessing it has to do with looping and auto-playing the video because the .mp4 video is not blurry when I view it locally on my desktop. I have also tried exporting this video with high bitrate, adaptive high bitrate, low bitrate and a bunch of other random settings. It doesn't change how it looks in AEM and ultimately on the site when I embed it in. Any help or guidance on this would be really appreciated. Thanks!

Hi Guys, Good afternoon here. Hope you are all well with family out there. Take care and be safe please. Had a question regarding AEM to be used as a repository to replace Filenet . As Filenet is normally used as the document manager which can hold billions of documents in enterprise grade environment but there are some issues while it communicates with Snowbound Viewer. Is there a possibility to use AEM for hosting such an huge repository of documents or is it not feasible to use AEM as such. Its ootb viewers are quiet easy to integrate so wanted to check with you guys ,if it is possible for AEM to replace Filenet as repository on large applications.

Our current brand portal instance shows the "Share" option when we are at the top folder and also shows the same for one level down folder. But once we go to second level folder, it only shows "delete', "publish to aem", "properties". Both available and not available screenshots are attached. Is this a product limitation?

The way the list of components is displayed in Author changed with the Cumulative Fix Pack 4.  The list is now stacked per component with component icon on top of component name on top of component group.  Prior to the Fix Pack it was simply the icon beside the component name (component group did not display).  This started right after installing the Cumulative Fix Pack 4 for AEM 6.4.8  (AEM 6.4.8.4).  This environment was updated from 6.4.8.2 to 6.4.8.4.  As far as I can tell there is no functional impact, only visual, so this is very minor. Before After This feels like something that should be easy to fix or configure, but I just can't find it.  Or maybe there is a hotfix?  Anyone have any ideas? AEM 6.4Support Pack 8Cumulative Fix Pack 4

Adding search predicates for tag lists has worked well.  I have a Language dropdown in the schema that I would like to be able to search against.  Would I create an options list node for those languages and use that node path in the Options field for the Language predicate in the search rail?  Thanks,Jim P

Hi , We are using Adobe Experience Manager Assets Brand Portal.Can we apply download restrictions to original file for a particular folder in DAM. https://experienceleague.adobe.com/docs/experience-manager-brand-portal/using/download/brand-portal-download-assets.html?lang=en#download-assets Scenario :When images are watermarked using profiles,Watermark can be applied only to renditions not to original file, hence we want to restrict users from downloading original file of a watermarked image. If we deny permissions to download original file, it applies to all files in the DAM , hence restricting users from downloading non-watermarked images as well.  Open to any other solutions to tackle this scenario ... Thanks

Hello Team, I want to use the  OOTB metadata import functionality through CSV for updating the assets in bulk. https://experienceleague.adobe.com/docs/experience-manager-learn/assets/metadata/metadata-import-export.html?lang=en#metadata I have a custom meta fields property without namespace, Eg: Custom text field has a property name as "projectId" without a namespace. I have couple more fields without namespace. Due to the missing namespace, I am unable to update the assets with metadata import functionality as it is giving an error. Is there a way to skip this namespace check for fields while using metadata import functionality? Please suggest. Thanks and Regards,VInay Kumar

Hi All,  I am currently using Hotjar to assess my website's performance through heatmaps and audience behaviour. But I am planning to migrate to a comprehensive solution (Adobe Experience Manager  AEM) in future - just wanted to know weather both these platforms are compatible? and what problems I may face? (if any)

We want to publish assets from AEM to a third party partner portal (similar to Brand Portal). We just have author environments and no AEM publish. I tried to find for a documentation that handles the complete publish flow(replication agents, manage publish interface, status of the assets, unpublishing, etc) but could not find anything relevant.If some has anything similar implemented, could you please refer some documents or how it was implemented on your end. Thanks in advance.

Hi, I have a workflow where I am using the Send Email step of forms workflow. I am using an html-template in txt-format och the emails get sent. My problem is when I include the system generated metadata such as payload path, or email address or any of the system generated metadata. I am using the "$" as shown in tutorials but nothing is showing in my emails.    As seen below that workitem_url is not giving me any value in the email: To be noted: The email notifications in Participant Step is working great, even when I edit and update the templates. My problem is how do I get the path of the payload and the participant name and email into my template which I use for the Send Email step.

I have a requirement to generate png/jpg/HTML renditions from CAD step files in AEM. I created a processing profile and tested it on some CAD step files and it did not work.  Is there a way to fulfill my requirement? through an ECMA script? any 3rd party tool? Thanks,

Has anyone had experience of loading pictures taken on a phone directly into assets?  We have a use case where our field team wil be taking pictures while out in the field and were looking at a process that makes it easy for them to take the photo, load it to the right node and be done.  It would be better if they can actually take a photo "in" Assets so they don't even need to worry about the picture even hitting their phone's memory/file structure.
