Adobe Experience Manager Assets

I have a scenario where I need to give json to third party which can utilize the content fragments model json.My first content fragment model json has a reference to another content fragment and that internally has another content fragment reference. While using assets api, I realized there are many properties which are unrequired. Also the json will have only reference to the child content fragment. (/content/dam/xyx/childContentFragment).What is the best solution to customize the Assets API so that the nested json can be exposed to the front end.(Content Fragment A has Content Fragment B which has content Fragment C) Thank you

I started with the platform jus a few days ago, seems it has good functions to customise what I need.I have however some large pdf documents that takes too long to become visible.Is there a way to tell the script to load and show the first page and continue loading the rest in the background? ThanksAlex

I have a large amount of collections with hundreds of assets. Has anyone noticed performance issues when loading the Collections page? I'm using Smart Collections and my thinking is that the page has to grab the 4 images from the search. Will I get better performance if I replace the thumbnail with a single image? m

Hi Team,We have encountered the issue several times with different file formats i.e. .pdf , .ppt , .xls etc. Problem:Whenever the document gets uploaded in DAM and if that document contains the title in its property then the title in the metadata takes that value. 1. If suppose I updated the title after uploading the document in DAM and save.2. After 4-5 days I have to upload the new version of the same document in DAM with the title which was previously present.3. Now here comes the problem where the title present in metadata get over riden by the new version uploaded.I need some help to avoid such problems and wanted to know if any condition can be applied on DAM Update Metadata workflow.Thank you in advance

I am trying to bulk migrate assets from an asset bank into AEM DAM. I am leveraging the ACS CSV Asset Importer Tool. A lot of assets are related (referenced to each other with ids) in my older asset bank.Does anyone know any automated way of relating assets in AEM DAM?

Hi I'm trying to get ICC PRofile information from the asset, but with no luck. I am using Assets HTTP API - I am trying to find a way to send data in body or payload. I know some of the endpoints accept data in the request body. For example, when creating a folder, we use the following: (See how the folder name is sent as form-data and not in the URL)POST /api/assets/* -F"name=myfolder" -F"title=My Folder" When deleting a folder, we use the following: (See how the folder name, myFolder, is sent in the URL)DELETE /api/assets/myFolderIs it possible to send folder name in body/payload? HI, I am seeing an issue in one of our newly built AEm env. We are 6.5.7.I created a template using Empty page template which have single layout container > added the path of template in my XF folder allowed path > but then when I create a XF using that template, I dont see my layout container in the XF. Any thoughts?

We have created an editable template. While moving this to higher environments(to QA,Stage & Prod),there are some confusions reg. permissions while defining it.Use case 1:- In dev , do we need to give the template authors access only to developers .What about in QA - is it only to QA folks? Subsequently in stage & prod(only for business authors) ? Use case 2:- Suppose if a person is having access to template authors group, does he/she really needs any predefined access to other folders? Thanks in advance.

Hi I'd like to set my variable in the Command line workflow step. Value for that variable will be the result of ImageMagick command like that: identify -format %[colorspace] some.jpg I'll be grateful for any help or suggestions. Any example will be also very useful.

Hi All,    we have a requirement to add 640 x 640 web image rendition step in the Update Asset Workflow.our plan is to Update the OOTB Update Asset workflow, create a package and install it on higher environments.Is the above approach recommended or do we have any unknown risks in this case? are there any extra steps we need to take when updating the OOTB workflow?are there any other approaches to make these kind of updates to the workflow?

Thanks.  Hello! We have a requirement for REQUIRED METADATA MISSING not to completely overwrite our custom coral tag. I've identified /apps/dam/gui/coral/components/admin/contentrenderer/card/common/card-banner.jsp as the controller of the banner (overlayed for us due to our custom card banners) Any ideas on how to display both? Does anyone have a thought or experience on using one over the other?  I have a request to create a new filter in Author for keywords model and photographer.  Why the business isn't using the metadata (IPTC extension) for these is an outstanding question (are they using Bridge, Capture 1, etc.)  But it raises my curiosity about the recommended use of keywords or metadata? I've been operating on the notion that "tags and keywords" were best for augmenting (personalizing) an asset (i.e., flirty, fun, resort) whereas metadata would be specific (i.e., model, photographer, year, etc).   

How to restrict the assets of a particular folder from appearing in global or filter search results based on role of a user

We are exploring the use of synonyms to help our search results, but it raises the question of what users are entering for their search.  To my knowledge, I've not seen a preset report for this and nothing ACS AEM Commons - this is for an Assets (Author) only implementation.

Dear all, I was wondering how S7 can differentiate between "stage assets" and "prod assets". Example:- Path uploaded: /content/dam/myprojectassets/myasset.jpg- S7 brand name: mybrand- If I upload an asset from my stage AEM to S7, the S7 name is myasset.jpg- If I upload the same asset from my prod AEM to S7, the S7 name is again myasset.jpg That being the case, requesting the asset via its S7 URL, say s7host.scene7.com/is/image/mybrand/myasset.jpg will show the same asset, be that uploaded from Stage or Prod environment. So there is an obvious potential issue that a stage image push to S7 will override a prod image, due to using the same image name. What is the setup required to ensure stage assets are pushed to S7 without the danger of overwriting prod assets? Also, how to ensure delivery of stage S7 assets from a stage frontend, and prod S7 assets when requesting them from a prod frontend? If I missed something in the documentation please point me to

Hi All,We have a scheduled task that triggers a workflow which brings/imports assets from a ftp server/site. these assets are of type .psd (with average file size 35-40 MB).We are observing lot of errors of type OakState0001 in log files, the asset count is fine...I mean all the assets are getting downloaded from ftp site and uploaded into AEM.But there are quite a few errors in logs....and this causes lot of workflow failures in workflow console.Apparently, there is some conflict arising with (DAM-Update-asset) workflow and workflow process that brings these assets from FTP site.We enabled ConflictValidator logs and could see something like below --org.apache.jackrabbit.oak.plugins.commit.ConflictValidator Commit failed due to unresolved conflicts in /content/dam/projects/company/january/012120_set_e/retouched/21PSDW_INSERT.jpg/jcr:content = {addExistingProperty = {jcr:lastModifiedBy = {workflow-p...,customer-asset-...}}} org.apache.jackrabbit.oak.plugins.commit.ConflictValidator
