Adobe Experience Manager Assets

A document which I am authoring has multiple topics, each containing a table with a number corresponding to each row. For example topic1 has a table with rows numbered 1,2, and 3Topic2 has rows numbered 21,22, 23, and 25. Is there any way to add auto-numbering for each row. Also, some numbers may be skipped. So, it would be good to have a provision to change the value of of one row, and continue the numbering for the remaining rows. Any ideas for automating this would be appreciated.

Hello,We have a usecase like:We have integrated AEM SAML(OOTB) with Azure AD for user authentication. Now In Azure they have limitation that they can provide max of 150 groups(user belongs to) in saml response.If a user is member of more than 150 groups for SAML, then Azure AD does not emit the groups claim in SAML Assertion. Instead it will replace the group attribute (usually named http://schemas.microsoft.com/claims/groups) with a group.link attribute (http://schemas.microsoft.com/claims/groups.link) that will contain a link back to https://graph.windows.net/<IdentityProviderID>/users/<UserObjectID>/getMemberObjects.This causes the role mapping on the platform to be ineffective for the user the Assertion is applicable to.User gets authenticated from azure but couldn't landed up with any AEM screen as saml response doesn't contain group information to redirect user to authorized page. Hello All,   I am using AEM 6.3 with SP2.  I wanted to edit the metadata properties (basically to add new values for a multi-valued property) of multiple assets at once.I followed this document the https://helpx.adobe.com/in/experience-manager/6-3/assets/using/managing-multiple-assets.html  and try to add new values for the metadata with "Append mode" option checked. It's working perfectly fine.But consider the following scenario.1) I have uploaded 50 assets and added a custom metadata property lets say (material:diamond)to them2) I add 100 more assets in same folder , and select all 150 and open in metadata editor screen.3) I add the same property value which was added to first 50 assets (material: diamond).4) I check the "Append mode" option and click save. Now the first 50 assets are having duplicate values (material[]:diamond,diamond)and next 100 assets are having correct values (no duplicates) I don't want to have duplicate values for t

Hi,Currently we are working on AEM 6.5.2 which is host on the new Cloud but is not configure as Adobe Experience Manager Assets as a Cloud Service (so to upload images we use the Upload Workflow). We have the Scene7 mode  (not Hybrid).We use Image Preset in order to configure the Dynamic Renditions that are created every time we upload an asset. It is possible to add conditions over the Images Presets created based on the MIME Type of the asset that is being uploaded?For example if the Asset MIME Type is GIF we do not want to create the Images Presets with MIME Type JPG Thanks

I rendered frame by frame with the roto brush to remove a person from their background. I imported a new background from a photoshop file. I exported the file with media encoder and the mp4 it create has parts of the person randomly disappearing into the background. I go back to the After Effects file and none of these errors are visible. I've used this tool for 7 other videos in the last week and haven't had this issue. Please Help!! On a deadline!

I am using AEM 6.5 Assets and need to explore Video Smart Crop Feature.I have created and applied the video profile to one of the folders where I uploaded a sample video.I see the smart crop option, but no crop profiles appear in the dropdown. Can someone help as this a new feature and I couldn't find any help doc article.  

Currently, we have the folder structure listed below. When I set up a permission group Group A with access to Company A, for this to work I have to include read access to the Team and Clients level folders. The issue I'm having is when a new folder for Company D is added to the Clients folder, Group A ends up having visibility into the newly added folder. HI I just notice that our AEM asset folder in 6.1 do not have a timeline history showing.  So how are we supposed to know if this folder was un-published or deleted.  this isnt expected behavior is it? it says on timeline, "The timeline is not available for the selected item type".

With the latest version of AEM (AEM Assets) going on cloud, is it possible to have the AEM (AEM Assets) hosted on a private cloud or On-Prem or AWS?

I have an indd file which lives in our AEM. It has assets linked from totally separate folders within the AEM. Before we got AEM we would package up the file and send a zipped folder to a vendor. Obviously that creates a duplicate file and assets which is not ideal. What's the best way to handle this with an AEM share link so we're not creating duplicates?

Hoping to find answers here. New user of AEM and trying to learn more about this feature. I'm trying to find examples of use case for this feature. I understand that you can create relationships between assets, source/derived and such but what does the end user see or can do with this feature? I'm looking for solution to versions of an asset. Replacing a old asset with a new asset because of changes made. Or... If 2 assets are related to one another, what is the search result? Will both assets show up when only one is searched?What about downloading? How does the related assets behave when one is downloaded or used? Will both be used because they are related?

Hi everyone, good afternoon. We have a custom bundle that wires up the whole AWS SDK OSGI package and export it, so the other part of application can take advantage of the AWS SDK as well. This is working properly, we have an AEM preprocessor that pushes some data to AWS CloudSearch. I'm trying to take advantage of that bundle that is already installed and running on upper environments, but I'm struggling with it and it seems that AEM is not finding the correct resolution for some classes, it gives me the NoClassDefFoundError error: java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError: Could not initialize class com.amazonaws.ClientConfiguration at com.amazonaws.ClientConfigurationFactory.getDefaultConfig(ClientConfigurationFactory.java:46) [com.xxx.aws.cloudsearch.xxx-cloudsearch-bundle:3.0.1] at com.amazonaws.ClientConfigurationFactory.getConfig(ClientConfigurationFactory.java:36) [com.xxx.aws.cloudsearch.xxx-cloudsearch-bundle:3.0.1] at com.amazonaws.services.cloudfront.AmazonCloudFront

So asset is on live page with an expiry date.  However author has been told to update expiry date in the meta data.  Do they have re-publish the asset after they update the expiry date?  And what happens if they don't?

Hi Forum,  We have a scene7 classic integration and we are uploading assets to scene7 through AEM DAM.  Upload works fine when the users upload asset in burst of 5-10 assets. But if DAM author submit 50-100 assets, assets dont appear on scene7.  Is this an issue with scene7 upload process (I am not able to find any documentation on scene7uploadprocess) ? Or is this an issue with DAM update asset workflow ?  Is there a recommendation on scale of upload ?  

Hello,  I am wondering what is the best practice for categorizing or tagging assets in Adobe Experience Manager by the channel they are going to be used in? I have thousands of assets in my organization, I would like to tag them at "print ready assets", "ecommerce assets", "email assets", "direct mail assets" etc... Then I have a separate process where I will call the AEM API to retrieve an asset by category.  This way if I am doing print production I can grab only those assets that are related to print production. thanks Mario  

 We are getting the below exception continuously more than 9 hours in logs as part of this functionality.  Functionality : Copying all pages from one country(UnitedStates) to another country(England) and adjusting references for all the pages using referencesearch API. We are passing single same resourceresolver to all method in this functionality to commit after write/modify operation. Using sling jobs in this functionality to make job execution as ordered. Observations:Initially error is thrown at /content/test/brand1/testpage/home/jcr:content/par/richtext/item1 for 2 hours. Later I deleted home page to stop this error and same error is thrown at /content/test/brand1/testpage for more than 6 hours. Question :I know this error might be multiple update on same node by different thread. In our code, this exception was catched in respective method and just log it for reference to proceed further(not throwing custom exception). But I don't know

Hi All,We are using AEM 6.4.8. For the Assets(http://localhost:4502/assets.html/content/dam), the "reordering" of the assets is not working in List View. This behavior is not experienced in Pages(sites.html). Is anyone experiencing this issue? Let me know If anyone have similar Issue or anyone have any solution. Thanks,Prince.
