Adobe Experience Manager Assets

We have a client that wants to customize the actions on the assets card view page, the ones displayed when you hover over an asset card (e.g. Edit, Select, etc.). How can this be done? I'm able to customize the actions on the asset details page (defined in dam/gui/content/assetdetails/jcr:content/actions), but I'm not able to find those on the assets card view page.Is someone able to help us locate these, please?Thanks.Mike

Hey Devs!In error log of one of our author instances there is, few time a day, log like this: *ERROR* [ObservationManager] com.day.cq.dam.core.impl.AssetMoveListener Path is nullSimply, without stacktrace. As I cannot find any sources of this class to read, and as I cannot reproduce this, I decided to write my first post on this great forum.Did anyone of you encountered such error log? We have a requirement to customize the OOB Assest share and assest editorcomponent in AEM 6.2.(available at /libs/dam/components/asseteditor &/libs/dam/components/assetshare path respectively)Few challenges I can see: 1.The component dialog is available only in Classic UI but we want the same in touch UI mode. 2.Can we get the Java code of these components so that we can customize the functionality? What is the best way to achieve this?

I have added new option predicate to the search form with JSON path.  In Search filters it is showing all the options but search doesn't work.  But if you create the node structure for the options and use it instead of json path it works. Why it doesn't work with json path?

What happened to the Asset Share documentation for AEM 6.3?  All the existing Asset Share documentation only hows AEM 6.2 as the latest version available for the documentation, however if you search online you can find all sorts of links, like those below that exist but now just return a 404 error.Ex:  https://helpx.adobe.com/experience-manager/6-3/assets/using/assets-finder-editor.html Ex:  https://helpx.adobe.com/experience-manager/6-3/assets/using/using-asset-share-pages.html Has this documentation been removed due to a change with Asset Share in AEM 6.3 vs 6.2?

Hi,I have created custom workflow, which is generating additional renditions for assets after they are created/modified. Problem is that (after workflow finish) value of property dam:assetState remains "processing". Workflow is not transient. Assets are fully modifiable and I can use them normally. I guess that probably I've forget about adding some step in workflow model, or whatever.AEM version 6.2.0.SP1.Please advise.Thanks,Arek

Task is to create excel with AEM User's data. I can successfully able to create excel with AEM user's data and stored under dam. i can able to download also from DAM. But unable to open excel in my local, getting exception. Below is the code which i used to create excel.assetManager.createAsset("/content/dam/uk/test-report.xlsx", is, "application/vnd.openxmlformats-officedocument.spreadsheetml.sheet", true);Could you please help me resolve this issue or provide me any document which has basics for creating excel?

Hi ,I am trying to migrate large volume of assets (1 million assets) to AEM. Currently I am using a custom service which uses dam api (createasset) and copy the files into /content/dam/. Currently it is taking more than 1 day. we have 3 powerful VM's and content present is shared between these VM's. So my question is, is there any way like standalone java I can write and migrate assets into AEM. I mean i want to make my data into 3 parts and run the standalone java code on 3 VM's so that the migration will be fast. Is this possible?

Is there an OOTB way in AEM 6.2 to crop image renditions on upload similar to how Wordpress handles renditions?  Currently the workflow is just resizing the image.

Uploading an image from site admin vs dam admin does not have any differences. But is it recommended to upload images from siteadmin view? If not, why ?

Hi,When an asset is uploaded to DAM, workflow is getting triggered, inworkflow property is true even though there is no workflows for that asset in the Backend. This results assets are not be able to activated/published.Need to understand where this inworkflow is set to true and set to false, which cases it will be true for a long time.Have any one faced this issue and how can we resolve this? any suggestions?

If user click on AEM 6.3 Asset shared link's download link, it will by default download all the rendition of the image. I have a requirement where I want only original file to get downloaded and no rendition file. How can I achieve that ? Thanks in Advance.

Hi,I have a site: '/content/name/en/domain/home.html' and also have a custom login page '/content/name/login.html'. I need to change the default aem login page for this custom site to my custom login page. I am slightly confused how to do this. When a users tries to access home.html for the first time, I want them to login through my custom login.html page instead of this default page: '/libs/granite/core/content/login.html' Any help would be appreciated. Hi All,[AEM Version : 6.3, Oak : 1.6.1]I am aware that we can create workflow package of sites(pages) from Touch UI. (Select multiple pages -->Timeline -->Start Workflow -->Check 'Keep Workflow Package').However, the same is not applicable for DAM Assets. Each asset invokes a separate workflow instance. I have tried with Asset Collections, but the behavior is same.Creating workflow packages from Classic UI is still possible -- /miscadmin#/etc/workflow/packages --> Create new package --> add any type of resources --> start a workflow on this package.I wonder that since Adobe decided to deprecate Classic UI from next version onward, there must a way to create workflow package of Assets from Touch UI.Is there any configuration for this? We have a page with mutiple DM videos.  All are using the standard OOB video viewer preset.  It appears that the viewer is trying to preload the first several (20?) seconds of each video which is making the page weight excessive.  Is there a way to disable preload on the viewer? I was not able to find a setting nor any mention in help documentation.
