Adobe Experience Manager Assets

Is there a newer version of the AEM Assets Companion App for Apple OS computers?  Currently using version 1.3.0 (1.3.0.30).Also, is anyone having issues using the companion app when mounted to drive and using in conjunction with Adobe Bridge CC?Thanks,Chris D.

I have some questions about the Create Review Task feature that's available when you select a folder in Assets.Does anybody know why the documentation for this feature isn't available for AEM 6.2? The most recent is 6.1: https://docs.adobe.com/docs/pt-br/aem/6-1/administer/content/assets/bulk-approval.htmlDoes this task start any workflow instances or anything that could be hooked into? I looked at the Workflow Instances and it looks like only the DAM MetaData Writeback is being run, in order to set the dam:status property, but there's nothing that seems to be tied to the task itself.What I'd like to do is to somehow publish the approved assets to Scene7 once the task is completed. Suggestions are welcome!

Hi , My requirement is to add Encapsulated Post Script( .EPS ) images of MIMETYPE - "application/postscript" to Dynamic Media component (/libs/dam/components/scene7/dynamicmedia). But I couldn't succeed. So , here is what i am not sure. Is Dynamic Media component doesn't support .eps image files ? If yes do we have any hotfix or service pack or workaround to accomplish? Please provide your inputs.Below are my observations and findings :- 1. Firstly, Dynamic Media component is not allowing .eps images to drag & drop. After adding property  "accept = application/postscript" to the component, I am able to drag and drop images of these mimetypes but not succeded to render the image.2. Hi,When we upload asset in DAM, the "DAM update asset" workflow is trigger. Is it possible to trigger this workflow when asset is uploaded in only specific folders.Thanks,Anil

We are able to view thumbnails for assets that are images, but are unable to view thumbnails for PSDs, PDFs, and PPTs. Should this be the case? If not, any suggestions for a remedy would be greatly appreciated.

Then provide the profile in arguments of the FFMpeg Transcoding step.Here lies my question.Since, I am required to create two renditions for all the input video types, do I have to create ~28 video profiles?Or is there some better way available ? Regards

Hi guysJust a quick question regarding assets, workflows and the new touch UI. While with the classic UI it was quite easy for authors to just select multiple assets and apply a workflow to them I could not find this option in the touch UI. Even [0] does not mention it and refers to classic UI for this. At the same time Adobe recommends to do a switch to touch UI either this or next year [1]. Can we expext that this will be patched for AEM 6.2 anytime soon? We want to use a CDN with our AEM project to serve up the assets (images, scripts, css), so I've configured the aem-commons rewriter component to reference the assets from a static domain.  I can see the rewriter in action, and the images are now being pulled from the static domain, but the images appear to be broken links. Now that I'm looking at this more closely, I can see in my browser inspector that AEM has renamed the images different from the source file, and they have been changed to a number string.  eg. What I would have expected to see is:"<img src="/content/test/_jcr_content/par/image.img.png/banner-1.png>" but now I see"<img src="/content/test/_jcr_content/par/image.img.png/1462897411261.png>".  Obviously, if I upload my images to the CDN with their original names then the images will look broken on the site because the names are all wrong.What is the best approach here?  Is there a way to download the DAM which will give me all of the assets with their AEM nam

Can you only share assets or folders that you are the owner of?  It is this way in our environment and I am not sure if this is by design or a configuration issue.  Seems counter intuitive to have so many Owners of folders to make this feature work.  Thanks!

I have a requirement where we need to create a version only when there is a change in binary of an Asset, but not for the metadata update.AEM by default creates version when there is a change in both binary of an asset and metadata update.can you please help me on this . Thanks in advacne
