Hi, I am currently facing an issue with the migration of asset metadata from one aem instance to another aem instance using the App Builder. While i have successfully able to migrate the asset and their metadata from one aem instance to another. I have noticed that the metadata values are being copied to the jcr:content node instead of correct location under jcr:content/metadata. It causing, where not able to see the values of the metadata fields in the asset properties. Also just noticed that dc:title is getting copied to jcr:title under jcr:content. Below is the piece of code i am using to update metadata. Hi, I want to run a report of assets in a folder with custom columns for the metadata properties dam:sha1{{String}} and xmpMM:DocumentID{{String}}. I can see these columns and their values when I export all metadata of a folder, but due to a large volume of assets I don't want to export all metadata. What would I enter into the 'Property to Map' field to get these values in my report?Thanks!

Hello - Is anyone else having issues with the OOTB tag merge/move function in AEM?When we merge/move a tag, it will merge, but it will not stay in the asset properties after we add the new tag to an asset via the tag field. This is happening in dev and prod. (Access isn't part of the issue.)

I searched for the term "contrary" in reference implementation in the search bar and only got a PDF. I was expecting both PDF and Word doc to show as search results as both had the same text and content. I am not sure if ASC supports search based on text/contents within the document. There is an issue in AEM DAM where multiple assets are sharing the same dam:sha1 value, despite being distinct files. These assets were uploaded via a different server, and when downloaded, they have a file size of 0 KB and most of them has status: Error [Upload failed]. AEM version: 6.5 What could be the cause of these assets having the same dam:sha1 value, and how can this issue be resolved?Thanks.

Is it possible to have folders show a numeric value/count on how many assets are within that folder? For example, we have a lot of folders that are currently empty however it isn't possible for a user to know that unless they click into the folder. We may just delete these folders for now if we can't show a numeric value/count on the folder level. 

While viewing assets in list view, we would like to add column options, like metadata from Workfront and tags. Is it possible to edit what columns show? See screen shot.

Can I upload HTML projects that comprise more than one file to my AEM website? I want to upload SCORM files, which are HTML at the core, but include font, images, etc. for learning courses. We're not ready to use Adobe Learning Manager nor do we need Adobe Connect at this point.

Hello AllWe have a business problem. Before the problem let me set the context. We use on-prem AEM 6.5 and also AEM Assets as a DAM. Over last 3 years, business and product groups have been using DAM without following much best practice around Metadata. Also, as product portfolio like models names, technical specs keeps on changing, new metadata fields become more important to be included. Also, we have not used Alt+Text field which is causing issues in SEO and ADA compliance. Is there a standard method using ACS tools for Asset Retagging? I understand for folder level metadata schema, only the new assets inherit the schema and not legacy assets. These assets are live on production site. We want to have a nifty solution with automation and hardly any manual effort.

I am trying to get a list of all live URLs using ACS common report feature. For Page Report for a site, what should be the path field?   

Does anyone know if Adobe has plans to make AEM Assets understand InCopy files? I'd love to see Asset Link for InCopy, as well as for AEM Assets to understand the file format and prompt the user to update the link to an InCopy file that's been modified and placed back in AEM Assets. Currently if you modify a photo or Illustrator file that resides on AEM Assets and re-open an InDesign file that has a link to that asset, ID prompts you to refresh the link and you can see the changed asset in your ID file. This same workflow does NOT work with InCopy files. You CAN link to an icml file on AEM Assets, but you can't do the same with icma files. And if you DO link to an icml file on AEM Assets, it appears to break the functionality of it being an InCopy file, so the little icon is removed from the text frame. Updating the icml file on AEM Assets doesn't prompt InDesign file to refresh it. As soon as I relink to a local icml file, it refreshes and adds the little icon back to the text

Can someone please explain the functionality and intention of the Adjust and Republish check boxes when you go to move an asset in the Assets view?I can't find documentation that defines them. Based on what I can cobble together on my own using the discussion boards, it looks like Adjust would update any links that reference the asset. Is this correct? If you didn't check the box, what happens? Does it impact published links? Thanks! 

Currently we like to achieve the following with our AEM and Dynamic Media:   We upload a PDF into the AEM, it is getting synced to DynamicMedia(DM) and published. In the DM-Classic Windows App I can get the AssetFile-URL that opens the PDF in the browser if opened.   But from AEM perspective we like to achieve that our users are able to get the same URL or any kind of view for that PDF. Currently we check the renditions view of the assets for the dynamic renditions, we got a image-preset but if you follow that URL you only get page-1 of that PDF as image. But we would like to get the pdf or at least all pages as image of that document.   Any ideas how to achieve that? Do I achieve that by configuration of the AEM / Dynamic Media, it it a special image-preset or viewer that I need? Its important that the url is accessable by a AEM-User.

My organization has permanently licensed hundreds of Adobe stock photos. We'd like to import these into our DAM but have run into several issues:1. It's only possible to select a page with 10 photos at a time and each one has its own download button, it doesn't appear possible to do a bulk download let alone that of a single page. If download icon is selected after multiples are checked, only the first image is downloaded. 2. If this functionality is available, is it possible to transfer these stock photo assets we've purchased directly into the DAM since they're both Adobe programs?3. If not, can a request be made to Adobe to bulk transfer these assets to a specific One Drive location? We have over 2K photos and downloading one at a time is not how any customer wants to spend their time.

Hi All,I have a folder structure a shown below /Content/dam/content/dam/Common/Content/dam/FolderA/Common/Content/dam/FolderB/Common I dont want duplicate the content/images of Common DAM folder under Folder A and Folder B I tried creating a nt:/linkedfile and jcr:Reference etc... but nothing worked.Is there any solution to link one folder to another folder in AEM DAM.Please suggest

Hi All, We want to migrate assets from one CMS to Aem as a cloud.As the license for AEM assets is not available, we cannot use Bulk Import functionality of AEM assets.ACS commons MCP asset ingestor is not available on AEM as a Cloud so we cannot use that as well.What is the solution we have OOTB to do a Asset migration. Can we use Desktop Tool for this. Or do we need to write a Custom Solution if we dont have aem assets license.

We use AEM DAM cloud service. I would like to limit users in the DAM to only view, download, share.  I have two questions on this topic: 1. Does anyone know best practice on how to clean up your Groups? We have a ton of groups; some have 50 users, and some have 1 user.  2. How do you edit Group and User permissions?     -I tried going to Tools>Security>Groups> Clicking on a Group but all that shows me is what members are in there. I was hoping it would allow me to edit a group to view/read only access.   Thanks!
