Edge Delivery and On-prem AEM

There are documentation that states Edge and on-prem can be used together.

Has anyone implemented this and seen any issues or common pitfalls with this setup?

Yes, if you use document based authoring then there is no AEM. It is either MS doc or Google doc + Github + CDN.

EDS with AEM authoring does not supported with AMS or on-prem.

Adobe is working to enable this for AMS but not sure if this will be available for on-prem

So, this means, at present if you are using On-Prem AEM, you should be going with Document Authoring for EDS.
