A detailed explanation about the behaviour of Accordian component is available on https://experienceleague.adobe.com/docs/experience-manager-core-components/using/wcm-components/accordion.html?lang=en
I hope it helps improve the authoring experience.
If you have any ideas on how to improve it, please share in the Ideas section, for Adobe team to review it.
