ACL permissions getting wiped out after a restart

Some of the ACL permissions on our AEM publishers in stage and production are getting wiped out after we restart the servers. We tried adding Sling Repo Init scripts to re-install the permissions but it's not working. We have to re-install a package in CRX manually to reinstall the permissions. Any thoughts on how these ACL permissions get removed?

Hi @stiegjo22 ,
Few queries :-

  • How is the behavior of the sling repo init scripts when you are installing the package to a local new author server ? Are the permissions being applied correctly ?
  • What about when you install the same directly to a local publish instance ?
  • Where is the AEM instances hosted ?
  • Have you checked the publish logs if any scripts, user actions, or automated processes might be unintentionally removing permissions during restarts ?
