Adobe Campaign Integrates with AEM Author or Publish instances?

Hi,

Pl refer to http://docs.adobe.com/docs/en/aem/6-1/author/personalization/adobe-campaign/campaignonpremise.html#Creating Adobe Campaign Forms in AEM.

Between AEM Author and Publish instances, which one will be able to interact with Adobe Campaign?

In Author we might have a non-final and unapproved Email template or some piece of data.

What will Adobe Campaign do with such a content?

Appreciate your response.

Thanks,

Rama.

Adobe Campaign(AC)  interacts with both author & publish.   Example delivery of newsletter after all the approval phase will interact with publish.

For  unapproved Email template AC interacts with author & is required in AC side so that campaign approval managers can use it for budget/target/planning approvals. Note still template is not possible to edit in AC since it is not approved.  So unapproved template uses author where once approved will use publish instance. The main advantage of providing unapproved template available in AC is so that markers & content creator work independently & to know each other work. So that time is reduced for overall deliver-ability.

You often want to test/preview the functionality on the author instance, so integrations with other Adobe AEM products are held in the Cloud Configurations on the author, these can then need to be replicated to the publish instance. You can also configure directly on the publish instance if you wish.
