Hi Friends,

I am a newbie to AEM and would like to learn the development version of it out of my profound self-interest towards web development.

I've tried many sites for learning materials but in vain. Unfortunately, I am not in a position to afford the paid training, Can anyone of you help me by throwing light into the ways for learning AEM.

Thanks & Regards,

Suresh

Suresh, Hope you have the AEM installer and the license with you. I would say [1] is the best and good start point to learn the basics of AEM development. However, its always best to get some training to understand in detail about the product from your team who is working on AEM.

Hi Suresh,

I am expecting you have AEM quickstart jar with you.

You can follow this article https://helpx.adobe.com/experience-manager/using/onboardAEM.html

Start creating a website: https://docs.adobe.com/docs/en/cq/5-6-1/howto/website.html

Simplest would be to start a simple project, this way you can learn more.

If you face any issue, Community is there 24 x 7 to help you.

Hi, Thank you so much for your reply. I am currently working in application support in UNIX environment and I have a good knowledge on Java, Oracle, HTML, SQL. I wanted to learn new technology to enhance my growth in my career so I have chosen to learn AEM and I have no friends around who have a clue about AEM.
