AEM 6.0 installation

Hi,

When i install AEM 6.0 observed following

1. I see only four folders created under crx-quickstart "launchpad", "logs", "monitoring", "repository".

2. If i install SP2 directly on top of 6.0 GA, i see above four folders only.

3. But  if i install SP1 first on top of AEM 6.0 GA and then SP2, i see "install" folder is created under crx-quickstart.

Why install folder is not created when SP2 is installed on top of 6.0 GA version? Is install folder is mandatory?

Hi,

the "install" folder is optional, consider it as kind of watch folder; content packages dropped there are installed automatically (observe the logs).

kind regards,
Jörg

See the release notes for SP2.

You can install SP2 on AEM6. This is a valid install according to the SP2 notes.

Thanks!
