AEM 6.0 Production with Non Enterprise MongoDB

We are moving to AEM6.0 and certainly will be using MongoDB for Author and publish clustering.(MongoMK ).

Question is

  1. Non-enterprise  MongoDB can be used in production system? What's Adobe call on that?
  2. Any Adobe document on Sharding feature provided by MongoDB. MongoDB already provides this  http://docs.mongodb.org/manual/sharding.

Regards,

Chandra
