AEM 6.2 - Bulk Editor

Good Day Team,

I have a question on the functionality of the 'Bulk Editor'. I learnt from docs that this tool can be used for full text search across the content of CQ Pages. We have been using 'Query builder' with cURL command for full text search till now. We would like to have a UI for the business authors to do the same"

Please let me know if it can be used for the same.

Note: We have more than 15k pages in our web site.

Hi

I am not very sure what exactly is your use case but if you want to query and do editing then yes Bulk Editor is the solution.

The use of Bulk editor is to to quickly view and update content. You will be able to edit properties for all of the selected pages at one time.

It searches the content from the multiple pages using GQL and let you edit directly in it.

Full documentation :- https://docs.adobe.com/docs/en/aem/6-2/administer/operations/bulk-editor.html

You can extend the Bulk editor :- http://www.tothenew.com/blog/aemcq5-6-bulk-editor-extension-part-1/

Another Reference article :- http://www.terrabeata.com/2015/06/bulk-edit-in-adobe-experience-manager-6-1/

I hope this would help you.

Thanks Kautuk for the response.

I have another question regarding the same. It would be really helpful if you could help me with that.

It is possible to search pages that contain multiple texts?

For example: if i enter "yasar" in the 'Query Parameters' fieldd and search, it shows up all the pages that contain the text "yasar".

I would like to view the pages that contain both "yasar" and "arafath"

Thanks

Yasar
