AEM 6.4 classic ui siteadmin assets drag & drop not working

Hello,

in CQ5.6 it was possible to upload assets with drag & drop from the desktop directly in the siteadmin view

'http://localhost:4502/siteadmin#/content/dam'

Now, with AEM 6.4 and the classic ui mode enabled it is not working anymore, the browser display the dragged asset

instead of uploading the file to the dam.

Is it a bug or i have to enable the drag & drop functionality?

I can replicate the same issue on my end and we did open a JIRA as well. It seems in an earlier version of AEM 5.x, 6.0 and 6.1, it was working as a side effect.

The intent was to never allow drag and drop functionality through siteadmin. Just for your records, the internal reference for communication with Engineering was CQ-4197704.

This functionality is no longer available in the product.

    Are you trying to upload the assets? You should be able to drag and drop in damadmin http://localhost:4502/damadmin#/content/dam
