AEM Community Group Types

Hello All,

I am exploring the community group creation. I see that after I create a community group, when I go back to the group and click on 'Edit Group", under Membership tab, the type of community is locked/grayed out.

Is it possible to make the group type changeable? Is it advisable to try that?

Thanks Kautuk. That is helpful.

However the property that is saved on the configuration node i.e. "type" is not protected. If for customization sake the property has to be changed from say, 'Open' to 'Secret' and the 'rep:policy' to be updated, is there more to be changed so that there is no impact?
