Assets link sharing - changing the default link expiration?

Is it possible to change the default expiration of 7 days for asset link sharing? If so, where can this be altered?

The default specified can not be configured. Whereas Expiration field value can be.

Hi,

Not sure if this is possible, share link value is getting generated based on the response of assetshare proxy servlet in js file
