Authentication with vanity URL

We have configured SAML authentication handler to authenticate users to access page on publisher. Authentication handler has “PATH” property which refer to repository content path for which this authentication handler to be used. Authentication works fine if I access content within that path with complete repository path. But when I use vanity URL of page to access it, then authentication is not working. I get blank page.

Is there any configuration required to make authentication work for vanity URL?

We use AEM 5.6.1.

Path is multifield, So you need to configure all vanity url in path. Agree it is not good solution.  Possible suggestions are

*    Configure path as /  OR

*     Extend saml authentication handler to take care of Automatic insert Vanity URL rules into saml handler

*    File an daycare request to track this & is nice enhancement feature.
