Basic questions on CQ5.6

Hi Guys - I am new to CQ and need to clear some concepts. Sorry for asking some basic questions

  1. What is the difference between page rendering and non-page rendering components?
  2. In the <cq:include> definition what does

I am not clear on the path and resourceType definition

"The path to the resource object to be included in the current request processing. If this path is relative it is appended to the path of the current resource whose script is including the given resource. Either path and resourceType, or script must be specified."

3. while doing the training when I added the init.jsp, the side kick appears but the page properties was not clickable. However when including the super type /foundation/page, the page properties started to work. It was said that it is because the dialog was inherited from foundation page. Can you please elaborate?
