Component expiry feature

Hello All, Anybody aware of any OOTB functionality that AEM provides to stop loading components after a set date? i.e. If you've dragged a component unto a page, it should be displayed on the page only till a user defined date and should stop getting displayed after that

We've a custom solution but was wondering if there's any ootb capability provided for this

    There's no such feature. The only feature which I can think of is the "On/Off-Time" feature, but that only works on pages. In many cases it doesn't make that much sense on a per-component level.

    When you build something custom which acts on actual time, think of the dispatcher caching!
