Content Hub Preview for ZIP File Assets

Request for Feature Enhancement (RFE) Summary:  
Use-case:
 
In AEM, a proper preview can be generated, but this functionality is missing in Content Hub.
 
Current/Experienced Behavior: Many assets are stored in ZIP file formats, but Content Hub currently displays them as blank folders or icons.
Improved/Expected Behavior: need for a feature to generate previews for ZIP files automatically to avoid manual effort

@jeyamarinos Thanks for proposing this idea. This has been reported to the engineering under the internal reference ASSETS-57907. The product team will triage this request to verify feasibility based on the prioritization model. This post will be updated according to Jira's status.

Hi @jeyamarinos ,

 

AEM doesn't support preview for zip or archive files OOTB. If you need it, this has to be a custom functionality.

I have tried using other DAM systems also, most of those does not support this because of security (I guess).
