Exact understanding of difference between quickstart and start files

Hi AEM Experts,

Can someone help me to understand difference between quickstart and start ?

  •          Need realistic answer on purpose of 2 files

      The major difference is that quickstart will start a GUI (CQ_GUI='true') i.e. an AEM splash screen:
