I'm using AEM 6.4 and using following master branch of
to develop the custom extended Journal Component.
I was able to build and install the custom journal component but, layout and blog is not working the author mode. When i add new blog items it not getting displayed.

Once the client libs are properly configured for the page on which you are trying to add the extended component, it should work fine and you will be able to post blogs. I tried the same component and everything works fine, except for listing of posts.
