WMV is one of the supported file formats for AEM - https://experienceleague.adobe.com/en/docs/experience-manager-cloud-service/content/assets/file-format-support

 

Can you provide the link or details where you read about the Output not being supported.

    its on the same page of the url you provided.  I see "Output" Column has a hyphen in it showing that Output is not supported, what does Output mean?  Does this mean no preview streaming in aem assets?  I understand that the file can be uploaded just fine...it's the preview capability that may be missing?  My tests won't allow a preview....is that what Output means in this case?
