How do I disable design mode?

as above.

 

Is there a setting I can use? Thanks alot.

 

EDIT: I want the design mode config to come from our code repo so authors cannot break page authoring in case they play around with design mode.

I guess you are using the Static Templates.

Please revoke edit access on /etc/designs. Hopefully that should take away design tab. Or atleast they can't tamper it
