Adobe Experience Manager Sites

Our scenario:We have "news" node with child nodes for each year. Within this parent "news" nodes there are pages that need to be moved into their respective year child nodes. When I used the on-prem version of AEM (pre-Cloud), it was as simple as drag and drop into the folders and all references to those moved pages were updated. Now I can move single pages, going through the steps, but I can't multi-select 50,100 or more pages to move. I can publish this amount, just not move.  Is this possible in AEM nowadays for a basic author to do and not bother the Development team to write scripts or export/import packages?this is what ChatGPT gave me as a response, ----Yes — in Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) you can bulk move pages from one location to another, and AEM can also update references to those moved pages if you do it through the Move operation in Sites.Here’s the breakdown:1. I'm using AEM with the SitemapScheduler configuration to generate sitemaps on a scheduled basis. I've set up the scheduler with the following configuration: { "scheduler.name": "Practice Daily Sitemap Scheduler", "scheduler.expression": "* * * * *", "searchPath": "/content/practice/us" } However, sitemaps are not being generated in /var/sitemaps, and I can't access them via the expected URLs. I've enabled on-demand sitemap generation, which is working fine. I've also ensured that the configuration file is placed under config.publish. I’m integrating Coveo with AEM 6.5.23, and I want to make sure that my AEM page metadata and cq:tags are properly indexed in Coveo.I can crawl the content using the Coveo web connector, but I’m not sure how to:Expose custom metadata fields (like cq:tags) from AEM to Coveo.Map those fields in the Coveo index.Has anyone set up field mapping for AEM metadata in Coveo? I have a sandbox dev env of AEMasCS can I enable the AEM Sites Optimizer or do I need to buy additional license for this. Also if no license is required How can I use it, Currently I am not able to see AEM Sites Optimizer on my experience-manager or cloud-manager. Please help to get the detail about hands-on using experience of this feature not only its benefits.

In AEM as a Cloud Service, I have configured a translation integration using a Microsoft subscription key. Manual translation of page content working as expected.To automate the translation process, I created a launcher that triggers a custom workflow whenever a user updates page content.Within this workflow, a process step initiates the translation workflow.However, the translation method is consistently set to Human Translation, whereas I intend to use Machine Translation. There is only one image that is not being displayed properly on the site (url string of image below) - when I change one part of the url string, where it says "10240" near the end to "2048" which all the other images on the website have (and display properly), then the image displays fine (see second url below).   Resolve Microsoft Word List Copy-Paste Issues in AEM RTE   by @mukeshyadav_  Overview The RTE component in AEM has mainly two paste modes (wordhtml and plaintext). Plain text mode scraps all the mark-up as the mode name suggests. While “wordhtml” keeps the markups and works well for most of the tags. But when authors copy any list (ordered / unordered) from Microsoft Word document ( Desktop application ) and try to paste in RTE directly, it doesn’t paste it well. It creates individual <p> tags  with dot (.) and 6 span tags  instead of ul or ol as shown below.   Solution: To resolve this, the JavaScript of the OOTB EditToolsPlugin was customized -: Create a custom clientlibs for the RTE, applying it specifically to the RTE component. Hello Adobe Community,I'm encountering an issue with the Rich Text component in AEM when adding a tel: hyperlink.Scenario:I add a hyperlink with the format tel:+1234567890 in the Rich Text component's dialog.After clicking "Done," the link behaves as expected on the page, opening the prompt to initiate a call when clicked.The link is also correctly stored in the repository as tel:+1234567890.Problem:When I reopen the dialog to edit the link, the hyperlink is stripped, and the text appears as plain text, losing the hyperlink functionality in the dialog.Interestingly, if I use tel:1234567890 (without the +), the link is preserved when reopening the dialog.Has anyone else experienced this issue or have any suggestions on how to resolve it?Thank you in advance for your help!Best regards,Aravind Yesugari

In AEMaaCS , for a multi site setup In conf.d1. can we have a common vhost code in a seperate file and then reference it in siteA.vhost and siteB.vhost ?2. How about having common rewrites and site specific rewrites . in which folder we should put them and how to include them in vhost ? In conf.dispatcher.d1. can we maintain site specific farms ? and how to manage it using virtualhosts.any file ?2. how to include site specific filters , like filtersA.any inside filter.any 3. how to include site specific cache rules , like including siteACache.any  in site specific farm file 

My use-case is :1. Setup a custom distribution agent2. On modify, add, delete etc JCR events the agent will get triggered. [This I will be able to achieve via JCREventDistributionTriggerFactory once the Distribution Agent config is setup correctly].3. I do not have a publish instance so my requirement is the agent will parse the path and then post the data to a servlet which in turn should be fetched somehow and the data that was posted needs to be printed in the error.log as of now.I tried setting up the distribution agent but I am not sure how to do it accurately when I don't have publisher. The Settings tab keeps showing error. Can someone help me with the configuration setup for the distribution agent? (org.apache.sling.distribution.agent.impl.ForwardDistributionAgentFactory-my-agent.cfg.json is what I tried using - it does create the agent but it does not work).

While creating the content fragment, I have added tags. That is saved here. From GraphQl API, I can expose the content as shown below _metadata {      stringArrayMetadata {           name           value     }}   Similary, I have added tags to asset. That is present here: /content/dam/test.png/jcr:content/metadatacq:tagsvalue: test:abc How to expose this tags from GraphQL API from an asset?I know about this one to get asset metatagshttp://localhost:4502/content/dam/test.png/jcr:content/metadata.json But, from GraphQL only, I need to pass the tags, metatags details. I am trying to generate and deploy an apk file for the Geometrixx Outdoors demo app in AEM 6.1, for which I followed the documentation step by step.After installing the apk on my android phone, it is stuck on the Splash screen and I am not able to navigate further.Has anyone tried installing the apk file on an android phone? Hi Experts,I am using v1/carousel core component as extending resourceSuperType in my .xml. I want to show hide the entire dialog of the component using show/hide dropdown functionality, as if i select core i need to show all the core dialog and if i select 'custom', i need to show custom dialog. I am having dialog config in cq_dialog and show hide using granite:class but the issue is the core dialog tabs are showing on top of my dropdown selection and if i select my drop down it displays the dialog again below. How to achieve the show/hide properly. 

Hi Everyone, I’m looking for an effective way to identify duplicate assets in AEM (either by name, size, or binary content).Is there any out-of-the-box functionality, query, or Groovy script that can help find duplicates in DAM - especially when they might exist in different folders or under different paths?

I'm migrating Oak:index from AMS AEM 6.5.21 to AEM as a Cloud Service using the latest Index Converter utility (v1.2.5) and have observed that the utility merges some custom indexes with existing OOTB index definitions. For example, my custom index "abc" is being merged into the customization of "cqPageLucene-1" instead of creating a standalone custom index. Q1. What criteria the utility uses to decide merging vs. standalone creation ? Q2. Since these indexes serve different stakeholders with distinct requirements, would it be better to create them as fully custom indexes (e.g., customIndexName-custom-1) instead of following the utility's merge recommendation with existing OOTB index definitions (is that supported ?)   Please share best practices for overriding Index Converter utility decisions, Experiences with similar migration scenarios.
