Adobe Experience Manager Sites

I'm not sure if AEM can return HTML directly, like you could with Springboot and Thymeleaf, but I'd like to try using the HTMX return HTML philosophy with the AEM components to see if it speeds up the performance of certain components. It would be great to have a search result component that runs on the server side and sends the HTML result rather than the JSON result, utilizing the server side on the client side as well. This would eliminate the need for two separate locations to maintain templating—on the frontend using js and on the htl of the sling model.

I downloaded  latest sdk for local setup "AEM SDK v2024.8.17465.20240813T175259Z-240700". While running using the java- jar command, it is not coming up, i don't see any errors in stdout.log or stderr.log.Here is the screen shot of my java version and command.  java -jar aem-author-p4502.jar -p 4502 -gui /////java version "11.0.22" 2024-01-16 LTSJava(TM) SE Runtime Environment 18.9 (build 11.0.22+9-LTS-219)Java HotSpot(TM) 64-Bit Server VM 18.9 (build 11.0.22+9-LTS-219, mixed mode) 

Good morning - I've been doing some block development with UE and as I've been going through this, I wanted to ask a few questions.  In a recent GEM webinar, there was reference to appending foreground_ and background_ to block names and this would affect the grouping of divs in EDS. I tried to find documentation around this and other useful things to know when modelling, but I couldn't find it. When modelling the block, we assign names in the JSON, is this name attribute available to use in the Javascript? Reason is, if I have a model with multiple text types, these are outputted a P tag in a div. But I can't see a logical way to decorate specific children[n] of a block without knowing what I am decorating. Simple Example: Block has Author Text and Summary Text block types. If I don't add a Author, but add a Summary, I don't want the Summary styled like the Author.What I would like to do, is add an ID to the P tags which corresponds with the block name &l

Hi Team,      i was trying to execute below query on my query builder, when i execute this query (search text: Smart Lock) im getting 12 result count which is expected result, same when i execute this query with (search text: smart lock) im getting 0 result. I also tried with the group.2.operation=equalsIgnoreCase by replacing group.2_operation=like but it's not working. Hi All, I'm attempting to load/'create' a pdf file into the Assets side of the AEM. It loads to about 97%, then says "0 of 1 assets uploaded". The only option provided is "Cancel". I have loaded pdfs successfully many times, and into this folder as recently as an hour ago. I even deleted the previous version of the pdf rather than "Replace" it, thinking that might be an issue. I was required to "Force Delete" because of some message that I didn't read thoroughly, now I'm thinking that message was the key as to why this pdf won't upload. Any suggestions?

Having a multifiled component when we open the dialog the content is not loading into the dialog it is showing empty. But the data is present in node level as json. How we can make it work if we convert data into node the existing data is not showing. How to overcome this issue. 

Hello! We want to use the New Content Fragment Editor in the future, but we have some customization in the legacy editor that we need to move into the new one. Currently we are adding our customization using client-libraries, this will of course be no longer possible. I understand that you can provide Extensions using the App Builder, but I am not sure how an implementation for our cases should look like. For example do we have a logic implemented that changes the mandatory property of a field depending on the input of another field. Would I use custom form rendering for that? Any help and guidelines would be much appreciated!

Hi Everyone,In my AEM project I have multiple language (locale) like en-us, ar-ae, ja-jp and so on,A content fragment exist with Copyright text and contains year. Everytime, I need to update the year, I have to visit each and individual content fragment for a language and update the year. Is there any way so that I have to update the year at one content fragment and it gets update in all the languages.Also, I have created two CF model, Model A and Model B. In Model A, I have given a multiline field and allowed it to take reference from  Model B. I have created a simple CF with both the models.Now, when I add the CF component on the page, and I select the CF which is based on Model A, I do not get the value( by value I mean, any content authored ) which I have authored in CF based out of Model B.Am  I missing something ?Please advise. Thanks in AdvanceAditya @kautuk_sahni 

We are in the process of moving from onPremise to AEMaaCS and have been investigating using the Content Copy Tool as a way to keep a portion of our content in sync between Prod and Stage environments.   In author environments this looks to work well, but for Stage regression/sign-off we really would like to have the content in sync on the Publish servers as well.  Any suggestions on a good way to automate this? Documentation reference:https://experienceleague.adobe.com/en/docs/experience-manager-cloud-service/content/implementing/developer-tools/content-copy 

When we do query search, results are grouped based on paths. For example, if we have queried for paths /content/us/en & /content/ca/en , then results will have group of pages from /us/en and after that it will have group of pages from /ca/en. Even if we try to sort orderby=@jcr:score , sorting is done for 1st set of pages from /us/en and after that it sorts pages from /ca/en, ideally it should be sorting for entire set of result. Sample query:fulltext=random textgroup.1_path=/content/us/engroup.2_path=/content/ca/engroup.p.or=trueorderby=@jcr:scoreorderby.sort=desc Result :0: /content/us/en/page1.html jcr:score = 1.501: /content/ca/en/page2.html jcr:score = 2.502: /content/ca/en/page3.html jcr:score = 1.20 Ideally it should be somewhat like:0: /content/ca/en/page2.html jcr:score = 2.501: /content/us/en/page1.html jcr:score = 1.502: /content/ca/en/page3.html jcr:score = 1.20  

Hi, My organization wants to adopt asset live copies. We want an efficient way to monitor a large volume of source assets for changes, so that we know if live copies are no longer in sync. Ideally this could be done through a report, but I don't see any OOTB reports that monitor live copy sources. Any recommendations on how to solve for this? Thanks!Morgan 

Hi,We are using AEM 6.5I have a requirement on new version creation in AEM Page Version Creation/history, when I deploy a bundle (having some new content/image) in package manager the corresponding page should create a new version, is it possible?Example1. I'm not going to manually edit some content on the page when I deploy the bundle in the package manager, can we get the version history.2. Suppose i did some changes in Dev env at a page abc.html and page have versions up to  V1,V2 and V3 then made a package through package manager(versionupgrade.zip)  then i deployed into other env once i deployed into package manager i want to get the new version with updated content, which i have deployed the content from lower env..

If I execute the query-1 and query-2 separately, I get the results but I am looking for the results which include the results from query-1 + query-2. So in one of the scenario we are having an image/video and download option for it. So whenever we click on that download button/logo the image gets downloaded. We checked this thing on Local author and local publish instance and it worked as expected. But on DEV, STAGE and PROD it worked only on author instance. It didn't work as expected on publisher and dispatcher instances.Issue: When we click on that download option, the image/video opens in new tab, but doesn't get downloaded. Any insights on this. Thanks,Shreyas.

I want to use context aware configuration in my aem project. Is there anyway without defining  @10922553:configRef property at root level, can we refer configuration at /content level or /content/data level?

I am using AEMaaCS. I have an experience fragment that I use across various pages and templates in AEMaaCS as header. Now I have to make some changes to this experience fragment. When I click on it to edit from the content tree, it shows up blank. The other XF's are working fine. The header XF which I want to edit is being rendered on all templates and pages that it is being used and also in the crx de. 

I have a content fragment Model with a field of Fragment reference type. The content fragments used as a part of reference in Fragment reference field never got published when I publish the parent content fragment. I'm wondering if I'm missing something? Is there a way to publish these content used in the content fragments?

Hi Team, we are using aio cli and cloudmanger plugin to start the execution of cloud manager pipeline Gitlab pipeline. I am able to download the logs from build action and and  "Download Details" from CodeQuality action using below command :aio cloudmanager:get-execution-step-log builkd/codeQuality I am not able to find the way to download the logs at below steps : (please refer attached SS)1.Code Quality pipeline -> Code Scanning -> Download log  how can i download logs of code scanning report?
