Adobe Experience Manager Sites

Hi Team, In our caconfigs, we encounter an issue related to path browser fields. Upon the initial load of the configuration, selecting an item in the path browser triggers a page reload without retaining the selection. However, after this initial reload, subsequent selections work correctly. The issue reoccurs if we reload the page again, specifically affecting the first selection. This behavior applies to previously saved path browser fields, while empty fields behave as expected. Has anyone encountered a similar issue, and is there any solution available for this? I would greatly appreciate any insights!

I've worked in an AMS setup in the past and at the time we only created a symlink in enabled_hosts to files in available_hosts. what's the better idea? option 1: create the same file (with same contents) in both available_hosts and enabled_hostoption 2: create the file only in enabled_host Thanks! PS. I'm on windows so I cannot create  a symlink.

We have a multiple sites in AEM Cloud. One of the sites is taking the content path from other website and indexed in Google. Example:-website https://example.com/content/us/en/demo/sample.htmlHere the /content/us/en/demo/sample.html is not the actual path of the example.com.And it is indexed in Google as well with the wrong path. How to resolve this? Kindly let me know if there is any solution.

Hi,We are facing an issue with SSO implementation using SAML 2.0 Authentication Handler in AEM. User logs in access few secure pages, logs out of the application, and then again tries to access secure pages or refreshes secure page for example User Profile page with user data then user is not asked to login but is directly shown the page.If the pages are accessed using "?" at the end or with browser developer tools(F12) is open then login screen comes up. We made sure to not cache secure pages at CDN and Dispatcher level.Are we missing anything here? Is there anyway we can make sure(at AEM end) logout is working as expected i.e. any can we check if any cookie gets created after successful login and removed after successful logout?Any help on this is highly appreciated.Thanks,Srikanth Pogula.

Hi all, I have one AEM project that has structure<modules>  <module>all</module>  <module>core</module>  <module>ui.apps</module>  <module>ui.apps.structure</module>  <module>ui.config</module>  <module>ui.content</module></modules> "all" module filevault-package-maven-plugin embedds core, ui.apps, ui.config and ui.content to install as a zip in package manager. I have deployed this whole project as a zip packages in Github-Packages using "mvn deploy" command to private Github repository. I am using this 1st AEM project as a maven dependency in 2nd fresh new AEM project but when I build the code it runs successfully, but my 1st projects' 4 packages are keep installing in a loop on package manager. 2nd Project main pom file has (fetching code successfully from private Github repo)<dependency> <groupId>com.pathfactory</groupId> &lt

Hello Community, I have a requirement to enhance the workflow options i.e If the user clicks the "manage publication" option from the menu, instead of taking the users to Manage Publication wizard directly, I need to show two options in the navigation, i.e the custom workflow option named "custom workflow" and "OOTB workflow". if the user clicks "custom workflow", we need to navigate the users to the publication wizard screen and "OOTB workflow" should take the users to OOTB publication wizard. Basically both custom as well as OOTB workflow should use the same options in the wizard. Custom should use custom workflow and OTTB should use OOTB workflow. Can someone tell me if this is feasible to implement and what kind of customization we need to implement?

Hi,I have to search through site content's all the property(since any property may contain that value) and list the page path. I am using below QueryBuilder fulltext but it also return the result which partially matched. path=/content/mysite/us/en type=cq:Page group.p.and=true group.1_group.fulltext=/content/dam/mysite/images p.offset=0 p.limit=10 orderby=@jcr:content/cq:lastModified orderby.sort=desc But It is also returning the page which have value as "/content/dam/mysite/images/icon" or "/content/dam/mysite/images/logo" so how get only pages which have exact match "/content/dam/mysite/images" ?

Requirement- we hv an API which is built on AEM and migration user want to access that API that points to author server. we have used the sling servlet to build the API what kind of authorization and authentication should i pass in the servlet so that user can use that API from outside. The team I'm on is running into a strange issue when editing content fragments in Java. A common pattern we use based on years of working with AEM is to adapt a resource as a ModifiableValueMap in Java code and then edit one of the values of that ModifiableValueMap, commit the resourceResolver, thus saving the change. When we perform this action against content fragments the saved property has always been searchable in GraphQL, so we assumed this pattern was fine.Recently we encountered a bug when performing content fragments in an implementation of the replication PreProcessor. Basically as a content fragment was published we used the PreProcessor hook to add a new field and then continue with publishing the fragment. The problem is that if we use the same ModifiableValueMap to perform the update, this new value isn't indexed. I understand that we should be using the Content Fragment API. Hi,I have an use case for a retail ecommerce B2C domain client, where we have huge inventory of products with variations. Product have their dynamic data like price and stock availability and other dynamic data. I don't want to use CIF instead inclination is towards API based services exposed by API Gateway and other PIM services. Site is multi locale with high traffic from customers. Question:1. What is Adobe's recommendation for this use case from best practice point of view?2. 3 questions please 1. I find that the code repo can get old when people update component policies frequently. So I'm thinking of putting the changes into the code repo. thoughts on this? 2. I tried adding an additional style in the component policy in my code repo but the changes I made did NOT show up in CRX/DE. Is it better to do it first using touch UI and then import to code repo? 3. If I add a new style config in component+policy in template editor, where is it saved? I looked at the node for the policy in CRX/DE and I cannot find the find the new style there.       thanks!PS. the original dev set the policy in filter.xml to "merge" so any code deployment does not overwrite anything already there. EDIT: I added these in my /conf/mysite/settings/wcm/policies and it did not show up in CRX/DE because of the filter "merge" policy. We are customizing aem core carousel component, we have created a proxy component from where we doing resource supertype to core carousel v1 component. We want to override the markup of this component. But the issue is, when we override the markup, the “panel” selection option is not visible in the authoring dialog. I mean the panel icon after the first icon in the authoring dialog. Look at the screenshot. It looks like markup is tightly coupled with when panel selection visibility. Is there any way that we can override html and retain the panel selection option? What would be the bare minimum we need from the core carousel component to achieve this. Hello Community Team,My current application is running on AEM 6.5 managed by Adobe (Adobe Managed Services). We are plannint to migrate the current application to AEM as a cloud service. As part of this exercise, we ran the BPA tool against the current application and encountered around 400 Critical bugs and 14000 Major bugs. There are 400 custom components, 60 static templates and 30 editable templates. Customer is looking to migrate as-is from AMS to AEMaaCS with minimal code changes in 3-4 months of duration.Can you please suggest me the following:1. Without fixing all the major and critical bugs reported by the BPA tool, is it recommended to migrate to AEMaaCS. If we still migrate, what could be the possible issues that may occur.2. Will static templates work as-is in the AEMaaCS platform or we need to refactor them.3. What could be the performance and security related issues that might occur with as-is migration4. Any other issues that we may encounter if we go with as-is migratio
