Good morning,I have a problem related to the query. I have two environments, one local and one production with the same "content" and "applications". When I run the query, shown below, from the "Query" tools on the "/crx/de/index.jsp" page using the admin account on the local machine it extracts all the data, when I repeat the query in production on the same data and with the admin account it extracts only a subset of the data. The query is as follows: SELECT * FROM [nt:base] AS node WHERE ISDESCENDANTNODE([/content/myproject/pages/]) AND (node.[sling:resourceType] = 'myproject/components/structure/page' ) How can I align production behavior with local behavior ? Thank you.

I have a java class that I call via data-sly-use but unsure on how to access document.referrer. I need to find out where the request came from. Example: I'm on localhost:4503:/content/mysite/page1.html. if I click on a link that's in page1.html, I want to get the URI/URL of page1 after the new page loads. This is Mozilla's explanation (https://developer.mozilla.org/en-US/docs/Web/API/Document/referrer) of document.referrer: The Document.referrer property returns the URI of the page that linked to this page.Thanks

I am trying to enable the manage pubication wizard option for the user who has full replication access(crx:replicate, rep:write).User can see quick publish in sites.html and publish,unpublish option in page properties.User could not able to see the option of 'Manage publication' in site console. I have tried giving access to workflow-users and tried full read, write access for respective content path also.But still no luck. Need some input on this issue.Thank you in advance.

Hi Devs/Archs,                i Have a requirement to restrict user to build and install prod author through package manager. when user clicks on build or install, should show an error message as "you should not build or install on Prod author".   AEM 6.5.17 on-prem.  We're having trouble where our project, Core AEM bundles and AEM is restarting when custom bundles are deployed  on every deployment . We're not certain when this bug was introduced or how to solve it.

Hi Team, I have few path and resource based servlets. For path based servlets, the path starts with localhost:4502/bin/test/v1/<identifier>. Is exposing /bin to the end user is a problem? If yes, why so since /bin/test/v1 is not a valid resource in AEM. In my case I want to mask this /bin/test/v1/<identifier> with a proxy. This proxy will be called in client side and I want to write rewrite rules for this proxy to execute actual servlet API i.e. /bin/test/v1/<identifier> is it best way  For resource based servlets the path starts with localhost:4502/content/test/..../..selector.extension. I am also masking this content path with a proxy, client will call this proxy and I will redirect the request to actual servlet API.  Is writing apache rewrites is better for this use case or is there any other approach like sling resource mapping? Thanks.

We are running on AEM as a cloud service and Adobe recommends updating the SDK to the latest version every month. However, I would like to know if it's also recommended to update the SDK version in the pom.xml file every month? Also, will there be any potential chances of the existing functionalities (either OOTB or custom development) to break as a repercussion of updating the SDK version in pom.xml?

I have a form with two master pages, the first has a header, content and footer and the second has a header and content part (the header is different from the first page). This footer must only appear on the first page, without repeating on the others and be able to break the page in case of very long text (or have a dynamic size, where it is possible to increase and decrease according to the size of the text). The problem I'm having is that leaving the footer on the master page does not allow line wrapping and when I leave the "expand to fit" option checked, it ends up "cutting" the field, as it expands downwards and there is no more space. Hi Everyone,I'm working on AEM 6.5 and faced below issue, and thanks for the help in advance.So here is the situation:Let's assume there is an author A who has authored a page and locked it. I am an author B who is impersonated as admin. Now I'm trying to edit a particular component on that page. That component is associated with a servlet which changes node name based on the input in the component. In that servlet, there is a logic which unlocks that page path, modifies the node name and then locks it again. In normal situation it is working fine as expected but as soon as I impersonate as admin and try to make some changes it throws the exception javax.jcr.lock.LockException: Not an owner of the lock So, what can be the reason and solution for this problem? 

Looking for a way to store sub-assets under a CF or apply a clear hierarchy to how CFs are stored. The sub-assets would always be unique to the parent asset and not always required. The sub CF and parent CF would also require different models, so variations aren't a good solution. Based on the data hierarchy, it would be much easier for authors to view sub-assets tied to the parent asset as opposed to simply using reference fields. Ideally, this would be similar to how pages are structured within the sites console. Hello Community - I have encountered an issue related to missing jcr_root in the generated package. The project has the modules (all, ui.apps, ui.config, core and ui.content) and if I check the zip file from the ALL module, it does not have any jcr_root(eventhough the project has the jcr_root folder available in the project) and It has only the meta-inf folder in it. I checked the zip files from the individual modules, ui.apps looks good but I see some issues with ui.config and ui.content. I have checked the filter.xml & pom.xml from the individual modules and don't find any issues and in all the modules. In my other aem project which has the similar setup and I couldn't replicate this issue. Can someone tell me what could be the issue?

Hi All,I configured the OKTA SSO Sign-out URL in the AEM publisher SSO config file.But when we try to sign-out, the user is signed out of AEM session but not from OKTA session.I'm calling slingAuthenticator.logout(req, resp) in the servlet when user tries to logout.Does anyone know how to configure this? Thanks

Hello Community, has anyone implemented an external solution for a backup in AEM Assets and can tell me which adapters/APIs were being used?Or does AEM Assets, out of the box, offer something like a backup? Is it possible to restore files from "yesterday" or 24 hours ago (period x)? Or, if the file is deleted, is the file then gone / overwritten? ThanksFrank

We have a requirement to sort custom columns in SearchResults Page, when we use filter option in sites console or global AEM Sites search. I am trying to follow the AEM Brightcove Connector installation guide to set-up my AEM instance with Brightcove connector.Please note I am trying this setup on my ocal vanilla AEM 6.5 instance containing aem-service-pkg-6.5.18.0.zip. Issues/Conflicts:Installation guide for On-Premises mentions to install the brightcove-all...zip file from the https://github.com/brightcove/Adobe-AEM-Brightcove-Connector/releases/ (refer below image for reference). But on the release page there is no 'brightcove.all-<version>.zip' for On-Premise, instead it contains 'brightcove_connector.ui.apps-<version>.zip' .After installation of 'brightcove.all-<version>.zip', the 'Brightcove Service' configuration is missing from the AEM Web Console configuration manager (which is mentioned on the installation guide 'Configuration' page. Hello Community - I have a maven project which has only the core module and don't have any other modules(ui.apps, ui.content, ui.config,ui.all) in it. I'd like to create a bundle and encapsulate it in the package, so that when you install package which should install the bundle automatically. I can do this if I add a ui.app module to the project, but it's not required for me. I've been trying to add a filevault plugin to the core module, but the package doesn't actually install the bundle. If you've already done a similarly requirement, can someone please let me know if this is the case and share more details to get it?

Hello,we are currently trying to setup and rollout automatic translations using Microsoft. (AEM Sites 6.5.16 on AMS).With this we have configured the setup of language copies and translations as described here:https://experienceleague.adobe.com/docs/experience-manager-65/content/sites/administering/introduction/tc-msconf.html?lang=en We get successful translations using a trail subscription key. So the setup itself works and we have translations.But we have issues to use our licensed key given by Microsoft / Azure. When we enter these keys we are always getting a 401 connection issue in the trace logs. Within the translation process there is no error displayed. It succeeds to completed, but it just does not translate the content.We tried together with our provider to generate new keys for the subscription, but any of them are failing. And always, when we switch back to the trail key it works again. Currently our supposition is, that the Microsoft Translator configuration conn

I have a CUG login form component created, that can compare against local user accounts and return username and groups the user is assigned to in the author instance. When I ran this in my local publish instance, it returned results fine. However, it seems like that /libs/granite/security/currentuser.json is not available at all on cloud manager publisher instances. It is only returning 404. Am I doing something wrong by trying to reach that file to log users in and get user detail, or am I missing something?

I have the scenario that I have 2 sites site1.company.com and site2.company.com on AEM, both of them have protected pages (CUGs), and both of them are integrated with the same IDP using SAML Authentication Handler. SAML Authentication Handler is also set to handle logout.When a user logs in to one of the sites then also will be automatically authenticated when accessing the protected page on the second one. When a user logs out from one site then also it should be logged out from IDP and from the second site. The question is connected to the Single Logout mechanism. When the user logs out from one site, it triggers SAML Handler and the handler uses the logout URL of IDP to log out of the user also from IDP. This logout triggers IDP to send a SAML Logout Request to the second site to log out. Questions:To what URL on AEM I should send SAML Logout Request to handle this logout on second site on AEM, is it /system/sling/logout?resource=resource_used_to_log_in?What type
