Adobe Experience Manager Sites

Ahead of a major content update, multiple pages on a hotel website need to be updated and also translated and localized to regional sites. From what we've gathered, Translation does not happen within Launches. We believe Launches is still the best approach to help manage the various content edits, but we haven't been able to find documentation that details this entire use case. This is how we understand the process:   Create the Launch and add pages (which are copies of source pages) Edit the content within Launches (does not impact source pages) If setup with inheritance, any changes to source pages are auto updated to the launch copy Promote the Launch Run translation  Perform final UAT Publish   Concerns/Questions: - If Launches is used to manage the content edits, at what point would we promote the Launch and trigger the Translation? - What is the recommended approach to UAT/getting stakeholder approvals on the content between Launches > Translation and Publis

Dear All,Did anyone had issue with Custom Indexes not getting deployed on AEM cloud pipeline, and failing/error at deploy to dev step. Had followed this adobe official documentation(https://experienceleague.adobe.com/en/docs/experience-manager-cloud-service/content/operations/indexing?lang=en ) and made the changes, the build and deployment are successful in local and testing was successful. But same is not true on cloud. In the deployment log, one thing we observed is the ui.apps:0.0.1-SNAPSHOT was missing and cloud was unable to find.  Recently, I've encountered two issues while working with AEM GraphQL. I've looked through a lot of documentation but haven't found clear answers, so I’d like to ask here. Thank you in advance.First issue:Is it true that AEM GraphQL cannot query Content Fragments from two different models in a single request? Based on what I’ve found so far, it seems like this isn't supported.Second issue:AEM GraphQL seems to have syntax limitations when it comes to query logic. Hi There, I have created a custom workflow, which when triggered gets the work done. However even after completion, its status shows running for indefinite time. I have gone through the documentation and it has end process as a last step. I have also tried closing resource resolver and logging out from Workflow session object, but nothing worked.

Hi Experience League Community, We’ve been observing a recurring issue where our publish instances experience outages (showing a whitepage with a 504 error), and during these events, telemetry data shows a noticeable spike and plateau in transactions related to startJob 10-15 minutes before the downtime. Hello,we are trying to add seo schema to our page, Adobe's documentation suggests to use json-ld to author seo schema, but I am clueless on how to add it as a property to page.json. Whenever I tried to add it as a property to page.json, the content which I author in that page is being rendered as a meta tag with name property which I have defined in page.json. It is not rendering as script tag as it was mentioned in documention. Could anyone help me with this.  Thank You.

Hi, We are analysing on decommissioning the Production servers but also wanted to check here for any pointers/tips to consider if we want to reduce the number of AEM Publisher and dispatcher servers in Production if someone has already worked on this before?For ex: Out of 4 Publishers and 4 dispatchers, if we would want to reduce to 2 each as most of the sites are migrated to a different tool and we are just left with 8 out of 21 sites.Thank you

Is there any information if and when AEM On-Premise (AEM 6.5) will support running on Java 17 or later?I do not want to get stuck with Java 11 forever. 😞

As javax.servlet dependency has been deprecated we are getting tidelift suggestions to upgrade to jakarta.servlet. However, when we update to that we are getting below error -Error: /apps/runner/_work/jabcd/japp-name/core/pom.xml [0:0]: Class org.ab.web.appname.core.servlet.FetchPDF is not assignable to specified service jakarta.servlet.Servlet Suggestions on this error asking again to revert back to javax.servlet. Just checking has anyone encountered this issue before? We need to know whether, through the web interface of the author instance, there is a section that allows us to view the license status and, in particular, the expiration date.If the licenses have expired, what happens to the CMS? We have just discovered the groovy console, which is very powerful but also dangerous (from malicious or accidental use)   How do you secure Groovy console on Author on AEM cloud?  The only auth levels provided by AEM cloud admin console are "user" and "administrator" for the author and for publish.  Typically we use dispatcher to block all but our admin VPN IP, but this wont work for author. What is the point of ever running groovy console on Publish?  If publish was hacked in this way, it would be different from author, and get overwritten.  Surely it should only exist on author, then any changes it makes synced to publish? Hi, Groovy console was one of heavily used dependencies in AEM projects I was working on. As far as I understand using the /apps/groovyconsole admin panel will not be an option for AEM as a cloud but I am exploring the ability to run groovy scripts automatically. Could you please advise what is the recommended approach for using groovy console in AEM as a Cloud world ? Do you see any scenario that would be problematic for AEM as a cloud ? Could you also advise what's the recommended way to install groovy console in AEM as Cloud ? In old deployments we just installed a zip package via crx manager but it seems that this is not an option for AEM as a Cloud.   I also wonder whether there is a recommended approach for handling content migrations and updates for AEM as a Cloud service?

My question is: if we personalize content in AEM for different audiences, how are the segments resolved? I understand that we need to call Target (using mbox and passing parameters if required), but I would like to confirm—based on the response from Target, is the content on the page updated accordingly? For this implementation, we are not using any A/B testing or experience targeting from Target. We are only pulling the segments and authoring the content in AEM. I want to understand what role Adobe Target plays as an engine in this scenario. I've been following the WKND tutorial again (https://experienceleague.adobe.com/en/docs/experience-manager-learn/getting-started-wknd-tutorial-develop/project-archetype/component-basics)Although it was going well, I've now run into an issue where 'npm run watch' does absolutely nothing similar to what happens in the instructor's video. I first followed the tutorial on my own project which I made from just the archetype, and when reaching the part where I'm supposed to run 'npm run watch', it ran a localhost:8080 instance instead of just building the frontend, and it ended up completely removing any and all CSS on the actual pages I wanted to work on when I ran it like the tutorial did. After debugging and searching for a while I simply gave up on that end due to not finding any answers. At first I believed it to be an issue with my project, so I cloned it from the github repository provided by the tutorial, switched to the tutorial/component-basics-solution and ran 'npm run watch'
