Adobe Experience Manager Sites

Hello. We have been trying to set up a shadow site structure to be more flexible when displaying navigation on our site. We've essentially been following the guide described here: https://experienceleague.adobe.com/docs/experience-manager-core-components/using/wcm-components/navigation.html?lang=en#shadow-structure, but it does not work as expected. If we mark the "Hide in navigation" checkbox, the entry will disappear entirely (which is to be expected), and if we do not mark it, it will always display the redirect target (including its title instead of the original pages title). Disabling shadowing on the component also does not work; it does display the title of the original, but it will also use the URL of the original, which we do not want. Our use caseGiven 3 pages A, B and C, where A is the target and B and C are the shadow pages that redirect to it (C is child of B), we want to be able to display the title of both pages B and C in the navigation, while maintaining

I have created a custom component in which I wanted to use the Text Core Component. In HTL, I have added the following code for the same:  <sly data-sly-test="${wcmmode.edit}"> <div data-sly-resource="${'Text' @resourceType='/apps/my-project/components/text', decorationTagName='div'}"></div> </sly> I have added my component in the template and kept it locked. Just wanted that the texy component in that should be unlocked. For that, I unlock the text component in the template. In page, for first time, the text component is editable. But once it is edited, it gets locked in the template by itself and the text which I edited shows in the template which should not happen. How can I set my text component in the custom component unlocked?

Hi All,We have started using XF on our project. We have followed the localisation structure for our website and XF but still the XF reference path (fragmentVariationPath) doesn't gets updated with language copy version path when we send our page for translation. Can anyone suggest what could be the issue.

Hi,    I tried to translate the Content Fragment content but that content is not sent for translation.   Let's take an example, suppose, we have a Content fragment model, named "Press Release" and there are 2 fields "title" and "description". Once we create a content fragment based on the "Press Release" model and Create a Translation project then content fragment fields are not going for translation,    I am using AEM 6.5.12.0 version,    I tried to add some translation rules but that also does not help, I am sure there are some issues with writing a Translation rule for translating aginst the Content Fragment Model.   Can anyone please help me with this? 

It's AACS. We're using dynamic media and notice that when OOB smart crop video component is used inside another component (it could be simple proxy component without any business logic) by reference it using data-sly-resource, in that case oob smartcropvideo_sly.js fails when component is first time put on the page.If same oob smart crop video cmp. is not  embedded inside another component, smartcropvideo_sly.js  doesn't fail.We can see the same on localhost and on the cloud runtime. <div data-sly-resource="${'video' @ resourceType='dam/components/scene7/smartcropvideo', decorationTagName='div'}"></div> We noticed that this line returns undefined in combination with data-sly-resourcevar props = resource.adaptTo(org.apache.sling.api.resource.ModifiableValueMap); Caused by: org.apache.sling.scripting.sightly.SightlyException: org.mozilla.javascript.EcmaError: TypeError: Cannot call method "put" of undefined (/libs/dam/componen

Alternative Text is required field in Image (v3) Core Component. I extend image component in my project and update q:dialog with required={Boolean}false. Still I got error message although asterisk is not showing in this case.Any Suggestion, how I can make the "Alternative Text" optional?

So what I know is that to create a Dynamic media scene7 URL for an asset is :https://<scene7domainname>/is/image/<companyname>/<assetname> Also, Through UI, I can see that the url for a rendition is  https://<scene7_domain_name>/is/image/<company_name>/<asset_name>?$<image_preset_name>$ However the rendition title is not there in the rendition jcr data or the metadata.  So How do I get the rendition scene 7 url in sling, or the rendition title?Any code examples would be nice. so i have a multifield in my component dialog and inside it is another multifield. As you can imagine, it can get quite tall/big. I'm wondering what options are possible so can I can better organize my dialog so it's not overwhelming my authors. I was thinking perhaps something like an accordion? (or in my case, I was thinking of using a checkbox to collapse and expand) Thanks in advance for the response.

Hi Team, Can you please advise me what is recommended for "Dispatcher Configuration with SSL or without SSL"  for on-premises AEM6.5.17 Linux Operating System? Moreover Adobe Cloud Software distribution Dispatcher Module download for SSL1.0 and 1.1 which is recommended (i believe SSL1.0 followed SSL 2.0 now SSL3.0 but not able to find dispatcher module ssl1.2 for Linux operation system ) RegardsVara

I need to install WKND Site in AEMaaCS so I downloaded the packages from  https://github.com/adobe/aem-guides-wknd/releases/tag/aem-guides-wknd-2.1.4 and tried to install through package manager but I ended up with "Package (or it's subpackage(s)) contains application content which isn't supported at runtime". Looks like it is not possible to to install mutable content.  I think it will allow to deploy through cloud manager but I dont have want to create a new repo for just installing WKND. Can I embed this WKND and deploy on the same code repo ? Any other option available to install WKND Site on AEMaaCS?

There is a problem with the component policy. The policy for the image component is not being applied correctly.  .

 I have recently activated a trial of Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) and I am trying to learn how to use the AEM Headless Client as described in the tutorials. I am particularly interested in the Node.js module available on GitHub (@adobe/aem-headless-client-nodejs).However, I'm having difficulty identifying certain parameters required for the client configuration. Specifically, I'm not certain where to find the 'serviceURL' and 'auth' parameters, which are necessary to instantiate the AEMHeadless client.The 'serviceURL' is presumably the URL for my AEM instance, and 'auth' would be my authentication token or credentials.   I would like to create a new custom tab in the AEM page properties. The process of creating a page property is straightforward, but inside the custom tab, I want to make a call to an external system and get a json response, so that I can build a dialog (with text fields and path fields). To get the json response, I created a servlet, but I want to call this servlet each time a property dialog appears and populate its fields. Would it be possible to do that? Should I update dialog.xml for this or can I manage it directly at the page level (/content)?   Please share me some best practices on this use cases.

Hello All, We are having issue in AEM 6.1 version after our last deployment,We are having a static component which contains a pathfield to author links.When we select a path here, it used to append .html by default but after last deployment, we started seeing issue that html is not coming up for the link. Hello Community members,In AEM there is a option for clientlibs: http://localhost:4502/libs/granite/ui/content/dumplibs.rebuild.html Where we can rebuild/invalidate the cache of clientlibs. By default, it's always enabled. Now my query-> is there any option where I can enable or disable this option? I prefer an OSGI Config option that makes it enable or disable (OOTB).
