Hi Team, While reviewing the documentation, I noticed that the differences between AEM Sites DAM and AEM Assets (Cloud Service) aren't always clearly delineated. This raises an important question—if a client wants to build a DAM, is there a significant advantage in choosing AEM Assets as a Cloud Service over simply using the DAM capabilities within an AEM Sites instance? From what I’ve seen, many of the advanced features—such as Smart Tagging, Dynamic Media, and Asset Delivery—can be integrated into an AEM Sites-based DAM. This makes it seem like most enterprise DAM functionalities can be achieved without a dedicated AEM Assets program.So the core question becomes:Do we really need a separate AEM Assets Cloud instance if the Sites DAM can be extended to meet the same requirements? Thanks,Prajwal

AEM as cloud service Hi Team, We need to store metadata — specifically the page path and timestamp — so that a scheduler can later pick it up and create a content package based on that path. Can we store this data under /var/project/storeData in AEM as a Cloud Service? We intend for this data to exist only on the author instance and not be replicated to publish. Thanks, Geo

Hi everyone,In our AEM as a Cloud Service project, we are generating an **access token inside an OSGi service class**. Every time we call the method in this service, it generates a **new token**.The requirement is:* The token should be **generated only once every 24 hours*** The same token should be **reused across all publish instances** within that 24-hour windowSince AEM as a Cloud Service is **stateless** and each publish instance runs independently, using in-memory storage or static variables doesn’t help — the token is regenerated on every call from different instances.Is there any feasible or recommended way to store and share this token across all publish instances in AEM as a Cloud Service?Looking for a lightweight, cloud-compatible solution. Is it possible to override the Smart Crop positioning on an image, for a specific Image Crop? I've created an Imaging Processing Profile and added some breakpoints. At smaller screen sizes / breakpoints, I'd like to override the Smart Crop and set a custom focal point. Ideally, this would mean that when I upload an image, the Smart Crop is applied only to larger screen sizes and smaller sizes will use the custom focal point / position. Is there a way to implement this or is it a bit too counter-intuitive to the purpose of Smart Cropping?  

Hi all, I have an already existing application in AEM.Please let me know how to know Template and Components on its Landing Page. My knowledge says in CRXDE one can see Templates folder and Components folder under the project name under /apps.Under Templates folder, the template will be there, whose resourceType property points to the Page Component and Page Component houses all other components. But here there is no Templates folder. I am also aware that Templates named folder is not mandatory.I have access to the code. Similarly I have a button on the Landing Page. Need to know the servlet it invokes. Appreciate all your replies. Thanks,RK.

Hi All,Recently, while working on my AEM project, I encountered an unexpected issue after upgrading the react-router-dom dependency from version 5.3.4 to 6.22.0 in a remote Single Page Application (SPA) setup.Issue Description:After updating the react-router-dom dependency, I made the necessary changes in the app.js file of my AEM project. Specifically, I replaced the <Switch> component with the <Routes> component as Switch is not supported in react-router-dom version 6.// Before:<Switch><Route path="/"> <Home /> </Route></Switch>// After:<Routes><Route path="/" element={<Home />} /></Routes>However, after making this change, I noticed that the AEM home page started rendering as a blank page as shown in the below image while the react page continued to work as expected.Is there any way to fix this issue? Any help will be appreciated.  Hi All,Does anyone have insights on how to programmatically extend an existing AEM session (login-token)? Most of the articles I’ve come across describe creating a new session with a fresh expiry, rather than extending the current one.I’m aware of the approach that involves updating the expiry time under the .tokens node in /home/users, but since those nodes are read-only, it's not a recommended practice.Ideally, I’m looking for a cleaner solution that allows extending the session based on user activity. I understand that AEM’s out-of-the-box TokenConfiguration refresh mechanism extends the session once it nears the threshold, but I’d like to trigger the extension proactively based on specific user interactions.Any suggestions or best practices would be greatly appreciated. Thanks,

In AEM 6.5 when using cq/gui/components/authoring/dialog/fileupload for our drag and drop field which we click on pick we get a "Type to Search" field at the top of the dialog where-in we can input the path. However on AEMaaCS it is just a header with "Select Path" text. Is it possible to get the same functionality in cloud?

I am creating a feature which allows for a header component to be created within AEM, and then distributed to a number of other webistes. Websites will call into AEM to receive the HTML containing the header component, and then render the resulting HTML on their website. I have this working at a fundamental level. There's a fragment with a header component, a servlet which can return this fragment with some metadata, and a dedicated client lib bundle that contains just the necessary CSS/JS to get the header functioning. Now I am noticing the links to resources such as fonts, css files, background images, etc- are all "relative" paths. The popup message is as follows: Title: Outdated Package DetectedDescription: We've detected that the integration of the @61380/universal-editor-cors package is outdated. Please contact your technical team to migrate to the latest requirements. Could anyone clarify what this means? Is it indicating that the Universal Editor package is outdated and needs to be updated? Hi Community, I am seeing an issue where AEM custom sling servlet is not accessible on one of the Dispatcher servers (IIS 10). On trying to access the servlet, I get this error:  I have added filter to allow the servlet path in dispatcher.any file./0116 { /type "allow" /method "GET" /url "/bin/nameofthepath*" } The pages are loading fine, just the servlets are not working. Kindly let me know if I am missing out anything. Appreciate your support. Please note: The custom sling servlet is working fine on publish instance.

I'm trying to author it in the dialog as follows:After submitting the dialog, the value is being stored in the node as follows:<p>Test Test <a href="%3C%= rt.ctx.logo%20%>">Test</a></p>However, when I reopen the dialog, the content appears incorrectly (as shown in the screenshot), and I’m unable to identify where exactly I had authored the hyperlink.Also, is it possible to save the value in the node as <%= rt.ctx.logo %>?Thanks in Advance,Veera 

We’re using versioned clientlibs in our project, and I’m wondering if something might be misconfigured—or if I’m misunderstanding how they’re intended to work. The issue:Whenever clientlib assets (CSS/JS) are updated and replicated, I go into the dispatcher and remove the old versioned clientlibs. However, this breaks all styles and scripts on the live site unless I also clear all cached content pages. At first, I didn’t fully grasp what was happening, but it became clear that cached pages are still referencing the old versioned clientlibs. So when I remove those assets from the dispatcher, the cached pages are now pointing to files that no longer exist. Meanwhile, the new versioned clientlibs are present, but no pages in the cache are referencing them until the pages are recached from the publish instance. This creates a challenge: clearing all cached content pages every time we update clientlibs feels inefficient. So my question is, am I misunderstanding how versi

Hi All,I’m working with AEM as a Cloud Service and using Multi Site Manager (MSM) for localization.I noticed that when I move a page within the Language Master and then rollout the changes to the live copy, the jcr:uuid of the page in the live copy changes. It seems like AEM is creating a new node and deleting the old one instead of just moving the node and preserving the UUID.Can someone explain:Why exactly this behavior occurs?Is it expected in AEM MSM rollout?Is there any way (config or customization) to preserve the original jcr:uuid in live copies during such operations?Appreciate any insights or best practices around this.Thanks!
